I had multiple friends whose parents got them to go through with confirmation even though they weren't regular churchgoers, and were understandably not happy with it. One of them was Aaron. We were confirmed by the local bishop, who like a month or two later was arrested for possession of child porn and replaced. It was fairly big news and when talking about it between classes Aaron seemed really upset to hear it, and when I asked why he asked "does this mean we gotta do all that shit over again"

Somehow that didn’t make the cut for the bible!
