Our Loki is not this rip off mcu version. Our Loki would never lose to hulk or come up with that dumb ass plan against Thanos. Biggest failure of the mcu is the asgardians.

Our Loki died trying to take out Thanos in the beginning of Infinity War. Our Loki never swiped the tesseract after the battle of New York. So when this Loki did that in Endgame, he became a variant Loki and created a branched timeline that the TVA had to fix. In Endgame, Bruce promises Tilda Swinton that they will return the stones to the exact moment they take them... so that no changes will occur that cause any branching of the timeline. And that's what Steve zaps out to do at the end of Endgame. (And decides to stay in the past. Was it sacred timeline approved?!) In the comics, there are multiple universes that each has its own version of characters. Best thing about this 1st episode is that it's mainly a two person interaction... and it succeeds on the great back & forth dynamic between Mobius and Loki. Just to clarify, there is only one timeline called the sacred timeline. When you do something that you weren’t supposed to do that will cause a nexus even. The nexus event will cause a branch from the sacred timeline and eventually will result in the creation of a whole new timeline and a multiversal war between those timelines. So that is why the TVA exist. They show up whenever they see a nexus event is happening and they take whoever caused it and reset that branch back to the one and only sacred timeline. Also you were wondering about gamora. Well the gamora in endgame is the exact same gamora that you see in any other movie such as guardians of the galaxy one or two. She is just from a different point in time on the sacred timeline. Honestly pretty confusing at first.
