I've always had a hard time playing through the game on the dark side, just feels like you are being a dick to be a dick.. Which, thinking on it, sorta describes the dark side, but i've always believed more in the EU interpretation, with characters like Darth Bane believing that the dark side was a way to freedom and strength, whereas it seems like in KOTOR 2 it's more of a "I'm a massive dick, because I can be one". Then again, I never finished a dark side play through, so feel free to correct me on that take.

2022-07-16 01:55:51 +0000 UTCthis was good, but I'm kinda sad the game crashed the lightside playthrough, fully playing the game as both light and dark and also doing a neutral playthrough really teaches the player a lot through seeing the contrasts, it's kind of the whole point of kreia's character, her full story really only reveals itself after 3 whole playthroughs, I realize that's way too much effort especially as the game crashes and corrupts your saves. but honestly a character who's entire shtick is being a teacher to the player character deserves recognition for everything she can teach. A lot of players miss out on this as they dismiss her almost entirely based on the beggar interaction upon entering nar'shadaa which is honestly a shame. She has a lot to teach on the nature of power, something that's completely omitted from many people's education.
