But a fun episode, my girl Isabel got a nice little advantage and her and Jade making this agreement as a cover story has potential if they both reach the merge. Also did not expect that reveal for Richard, but am liking him more he had a good episode.

2024-12-09 22:10:49 +0000 UTCI loved the episode!!! Twist's execution was cool to see, I am surprised at how level-headed Jade and Isabel were but they did good! The challenge was simple but executed well and the rule on only using the sticks to push someone off the platform coming into play was so satisfying to see. I am excited on what ONC are doing with the character dynamics, it isn't too forced and natural enough that it's fun to watch these characters talk. Alessio's arc being wrapped up in two episodes was unexpected but done in a way that felt not too rushed, also Logan and Alessio's dynamic was wholesome! Overall, this was an amazing episode, there was good screen time from all the characters and it makes a good start into the following episodes!

I just have a one issue with reading votes that has been present in all (I think) seasons. It's would be better if the last vote was read as "The last vote tonight is..." instead of "The person voted out is...". It lowers the suspense if the difference in votes between contenstants is only 1 as we immediately know who's gonna go if "The person votes out is..." is said. With the other option, viewers could always consider the possibility of a tiebreaker.

These are my favorite types of first boot: a character that wouldn't have too much to offer to the game, but was super funny and charismatic during their time in the competition. What a great way to do that, and I can't wait to see them again in the "Motel" Episode (probably).

Thanks to my very best friend for gifting me a membership so that I can continue to watch the episodes early and we can both support ONC :) 🚨 TO AVOID SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT, WATCH EPISODE FIRST BEFORE READING 🚨 Now, then! Absolutely love how things are shaping up. During episode one, I was getting a feel of everyone and trying to adjust to the new characters and immerging personalities. I'm getting more with them in this episode and can confidently say that my favorites so far are Richard, Tristan, and Natalia. I also really like Jade, Marissa, and Anastasia! So many characters to like. I look forward to seeing how things progress and who we get to see more of. I wasn't expecting to get that sort of backstory from Richard, but it was SO refreshing. As someone who is a part of the LGBT+ community, it was lovely to see an older individual being portrayed. Someone who probably has stories to tell, who has wisdom to share, who knows how to make it out onto the other side and find a life they can live and be their authentic self. It was wonderful to see that he has a husband to love and a daughter to cherish. I cannot wait to see more of Richard. I was already liking him with how kind he appears to be and seeing his coaching skills, on top of wanting things to be fair for everyone. This all just solidified a top spot for him in who I like this season thus far. Looks like things will be quite interesting with Jade and Isabel. I'm curious to see how that will go or even possibly backfire on them, lol. Appreciate how we're getting more backstories and actual photos and clips from their lives. I always love a good flashback or moment to see into a character's past. Really helps me get to know more about the characters and get a sense of where they're coming from and what might drive them. Reminds me a lot of the photos they show on RPDR when a queen is speaking about someone in their life or about a moment in time they've captured. It's such a realistic aspect of this season that I'm really here for. I'm also quite drawn to how many of the characters are designed. Alessio was one of the ones I liked best. Sadly, I won't get to see him for awhile again because he's gone. I figured he would be when he had his epiphany (thanks to Logan!). Seemed like he'd come to accomplish what he needed, so he was no longer needed for more episodes. He will be missed! He was very funny in this episode to me, so what a shame. Some highlights were definitely these: • "I am a different man from exactly three minutes ago!" • "Oh...! How sad... But also dramatic." • the facepalm after reading a Patrons name (Skibidi Kaka) He was a treasure to hear while he read the names at the end, so fantastic job to the VA! Overall, it was a fun episode and I'm excited to see what happens next ✨

Loved the backstories and strategic gameplays and I’m glad the eliminated contestant went out with a smile. Anastasia calling Lynda an ass was my favorite part. A close second was the hilarious expression Derek gave when Trevor knocked Emily out. I’m sure we all shared Derek’s glee. 😜 9.9/10

A lot of people picked it before the season even began, myself included, and i found it obvious from the get go so I want to know what your thoughts on it are. However, what I believe is that they did all they needed to do as a character before they left and that's more that I can say for previous first boots Will and Oliver. They achieved what they came here for even if it was in an unorthodox way (RIP Blueshell Madonna), it was done very quickly but it wasn't rushed in the slightest and through Logan, they made a friend in the season, who helped them get to their goals. That deserves respect. Although the first boot was obvious, I think it was handled and written very well and there were no hard feelings on the first boot's behalf, which also deserves respect. Disappointed that even they couldn't properly pronounce my surname but that's not important.

Ivy and Zaid, Marissa and Anastasia, POSSIBLY Diego and Spencer and Derek and Trevor (I see those googly eyes you made in the challenge demonstration today Derek). I'm so happy right now. I predict that the fact that Anastasia may be part of the LGBTQI+ community is why she had to flee Russia for Australia, if that's the case, I'm on board and if her and Marissa's feelings extend past friends, they could be the main couple of the season. Ivy and Zaid are so adorable. I love them to bits and I'm sure Tristan has a good feeling about them just as much as I do. Let's hope it doesn't sour, cause they have potential to be a healthy straight couple in the series like Kai and Maggy and Ashley and Will and who knows, maybe we can get a healthy straight couple kiss this season. Diego and Spencer might need to build up more before I think of anything with them but maybe that's intentional and for the best. As for Trevor and Derek, all I have to say is Trevek fans UNITE.

Those two know how to play the game and with Lynda's reality competition show knowledge and Ted's poker face, they could take over the game easily if they don't get stopped. If they are the season's main villain as a duo, that would be groundbreaking in the fan series world as that's never been done before and it can work really well. Maybe one of them can get eliminated and the other makes the final alone but significantly weaker and they must fight and remember all they've learned from the other. I don't endorse villains at all but I am excited to see where this series will take them. PS: I highly doubt Lynda and Ted will have an affair, but I wouldn't object to it from a writing stand point. Ladies and gentlemen, DO NOT CHEAT ON PARTNERS under any circumstances but do have yourself a fun time shipping.

The two ladies have stuck to their story for now but I predict one of them will flip whether or not Amelie blows the whistle on them. Jade has a good chance at getting to the end as I think she's one of the most strategic players the series has seen yet and so far doesn't get anyone hurt in the process, but will it be enough? Isabel has some strategy too but she better not be Julia 2.0. That's all I have to say about her.

Hannah to me had the most tragic one and it's something I never would have picked, I feel for her but I'm also very impressed with the creative decision cause it was something new and unexpected. Seeing Richard talk about his coming out journey and seeing the family he made with his husband and daughter put a real smile on my face and heart. Diego's was simply beautiful and to me, he could be Colombia's version of Steve Irwin and I will follow along all the way with that. Alessio and Ted's backstories were straightforward but we got to see how they got to where they are in life today which I appreciated. Stories are beautiful and it's good to see what life the characters have had before we rush to judgement. Bravo ONC

Anastasia's disqualification I didn't see coming but it was understandable. There was something super satisfying about Ted getting the best of Amelie. The moment between Richard and Tristan was so touching and I'm with both of you, power to the alphabet army. Ivy I didn't expect to lose her battle, I underestimated Logan's sporting abilities. And Marissa and Diego's battle had me on the edge of my seat, it could have any one of them but I liked it. Phenomenal challenge and writing, I loved it and I think the challenges yet to come will get better and better.
