Vi the Imp - "Birthday Bash"

This one went under a severe change the more I condensed it, since I didn't want to take too much time on this. I wanna prioritize Up All Night, but Vi disrupting a kid's birthday party felt too funny to not do. Heathiferd actually helped develop the idea, as well!

Birthday Girl Bonnie was supposed to skip her way to the party in the living room after Vi had already chopped everyone to pieces, and Reina tries to disguise their corpses as decorations.

It was gonna be a test of the format of:

1. Human SINS

2. Vi kills 'um

3. Reina tries to fix/hide it

But it was getting sorta complicated, cause then I'd have to have all three family members sin, and I had a plan for it. They were gonna compare the size of the presents they bought to see who got the best one, then Vi would knock them over like dominoes, then perform a victory dance on the tipped boxes. I'll have to assemble what I did of the animation later, but some of it was actually finished.

I then animated the dad shoving the whole birthday cake in his mouth like a pig, which gave me the idea of how to simplify the Bit. So I scrapped everything I did.

 Now, when designing the family, I first doodled out a morse code for how their design rhythm would go.

 I had to adjust a little, and I had the most trouble with the mom.

 But I eventually finalized them. The first thing I made for the rework was the dad on fire. I figured he'd try to nibble the cake meant for the girl, and then Vi would push him towards the candle, thereby lighting him totally on fire.  

I'm also doing a shot for a reanimation project for Clone High, so Joan of Arc was a partial inspiration for the other daughter.

I'll very likely have this finalized by tomorrow, but man what a ride. Not because this one was particularly tricky to do, but I was just bone tired the past few days. Maybe I just have too many projects I'm juggling, but I've felt sleepy whenever I'd look at another blank PSD file. Hopefully this passes, I'm sure it will. Just wish I had more time away from my day job, looking at a bunch of faces gets me overwhelmed and groggy.

I'll still be sure to assemble what I had of the previous version, and I'll link the finished short when it's done!
