2024-09-21 03:22:30 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite things about the show is the way it uses language. There are so many callbacks with its dialogue, plus there's the way that characters have certain slang terms that get passed on and used by others (like "crash" or "traught").

2024-09-20 22:50:42 +0000 UTCThe weapon that Cordelia killed Lilah with is the same one that The Beast gave to “his master” a couple of scenes before. That is supposed to be the clue that Cordy is The Beast’s Master. I think the only reason some people don’t like this season is because of the Connor and Cordy stuff. But besides that I think it’s a really good season. The next group of episodes coming up are fantastic.

While the legionaires were talking to Superman, there's a call back to what Superboy said in season 1, episode 2; "Get on board or get out of the way". Instead, the line here was "Get on board, so we can get out of the way". They really do take it after him.

2024-09-20 01:20:36 +0000 UTCSo it was two episodes of YJ this time...GOOD! Well this is now the Kaldur arc! It's true that he needs to take some time off after being so depressed about Conner but he might not even be dead. He's somewhere else with Phantom Girl and now he's trying to get through it. Those other mystery two have went to Superman for help and explained everything. Turns out Kaldur was raised by a man who was once one of Black Manta's henchmen but betrayed him, took his lady and raised little Kaldur as his own. Also Arthur's brother Orn was Ocean Master who still tried to get his revenge but was stopped by the founder of Atlantis. Meanwhile Violet went to visit Gabrielle's mother and she seems to be doing fine now. Lastly those two from the future have now went to Kid Flash/Bart Allen for help next.

Well, right after that, Angelus mentions that Wesley would be perfect if he hadn't slept with Lilah. Fred laughs, because she thinks he's joking. She realizes he isn't and gives Wes a look. I think you guys were talking over it and mistook Fred's look at Wesley as flirting... That's what Rana said. I just wanted to let you know. It's not crazy vital to the plot, but it doesn't show that Fred now knows about Wesley and Lilah.

LFGGGG 2) Love the streams Rana, we told you a year ago you’d love the show lmao! 3) These 2 episodes highlight how wonderfully the writers can focus on so many plots while also advancing the main story. We’re focusing on Aqualad & the politics of Atlantis, spin back around to the lore of Savage’s son Arion & the stuff with Child during Zatanna’s arc while also getting updated with the future heroes and everything with Superboy. Such good stuff. Also, Kal’dur needs a break, he’s been the ‘adult’ in the room since we saw him as a teen in S1 and, based off these flashbacks, since he was a child. He needs time to himself.

A very small example of how much this show plans ahead: you actually first see all of the characters involved in the "throuple" way back in s1! There's an early episode where Kaldur visits Atlantis, and you see all three of those characters as sorcery students in the background. Obviously you officially meet La'gon in s2, but all of their character designs are very recognizable even in that brief moment in s1. It was a really cool small detail to notice when I rewatched, and demonstrates how much thought is put into those details. Again, I do not get some of the weird reactions that sections of the online community had to this show's third and fourth seasons. There's so much good character work happening here, and there's an exciting plot happening around it.

Trying to be spoiler free for Rana, but remember Ocean Master had an episode with Lady Shiva in season 3, when he was going to attack the superheroes' families. I really appreciated this arc for Kaldur, he is the oldest of the OG's (aside from M'gann but she's younger in Earth years), so seeing the show acknowledge his maturity and having to learn to accept help was something I think a lot of people can relate to (having to grow up fast). It's also a neat storyline to have in contrast to where Beast Boy is at, since he is also pushing people away. Can't wait for these next episodes/arcs, while the first half of S4 is great, I really love the back half.

2024-09-19 18:27:55 +0000 UTCYou guys kinda already got it but just to clarify Spike killed two slayers its all in that ep fool for love the cross over one with Angel, Anyway one was a chinese slayer in the boxer rebellion 1899 and the other was in the 80s on a subway and yes Spike takes her trench coat and yes its the same one he's been wearing all this time, the actress however is different just so you don't get confused later on.
