2024-09-03 18:43:16 +0000 UTCTitle drop episode of Frieren this week! "Sousou no Frieren" or "Frieren the Slayer" is the actual name of the series in Japan. The phrase also has an interesting double meaning for the series. From my understanding "sousou" is a Japanese word made by combining the 2 characters for "to bury" and "to send off" and the series was sometimes referred to as "Frieren at/of the Funeral" because of that. Those characters can also mean "to kill/to end" in other contexts though and you can clearly see why that fits with what the demons call her. Personally I'm a fan of the French calling her "Frieren the Undertaker" #SundayRundown
