Honestly because of all the fantasy elements in this and the lack of a Japanese boy being transported here after being hit by a bus. The show just hits better in dub. But I get in this debate with people over Delicious in Dungeon

2024-08-27 18:54:18 +0000 UTC#sundayrundown I believe the Demon Girl didn’t try to fix the situation out of empathy, she wanted to make things even for the sake of self preservation. She specifically didn’t think “I’ll just kill everyone” because she knows the hero is there and is physically incapable of doing so. Much like the dragon, she’s smart enough to know when not to pick a fight. Once the hero party left, she’d have no reason to remain in the village or leave anyone alive. I think the whole point of the episode though is to show how scary a demon’s manipulation can be. You end up questioning whether they should be given a chance even when the show specifically tells you it’s not possible.
