The dub isnt good early on, gets better on the back half but it takes away a lot of the charm of the show.

The reason why a tire company gives restaurants a rating has its origin in the Michelin Guide. Early in the 1900's, the Michelin Guide was published by the Michelin Brothers and given away for free in an attempt to increase the demand for cars and create a need for more Michelin tires. At the time it was published, there were only a couple of thousand cars in France and this guide had every type of information a new car owner would need including car maintenance tips, maps, and restaurant locations.
In the 1920's, they started charging for the Michelin Guide. The publishers ramped up the quality of the guide by getting rid of advertisement and hired the best cartographers to create the most detailed maps in the world (which the Allies used in WWII). However, the restaurant section became the most popular portion of the guide. They eventually hired mystery diners to visit and review restaurants anonymously. In the mid-20's they started the rating system and the rest is history.
