Hey guys,

I hope you're doing great! The PSD file and the 8-hour process video of the Mar illustration are now available. Occasionally, I pause the recording to do other things while painting, and sometimes forget to resume it. If you notice any gaps in the process, don't worry. Just ask me about specific parts you're curious about, and I'll explain.

In this process and PSD, you'll see how I tackled the water challenge. When trying something new, like water in the kitchen, I simplify the process by shaping the structure with lines and then adding one value on top, like a slightly darker color in a multiply layer. This basic approach helps convey my idea before diving into details.

For this illustration, I kept the outfit simple and focused on creating a realistic maid's dress. The character's shape is inspired by the curvy anatomy of an orca. By not getting overly intricate with the wardrobe, I had more time to develop the background.
