#SundayRundown
Two quick things about the Cobra Kai breakfast:
1. Bananarama (pancakes) is the name of the band that sang the hit song, "Cruel Summer" featured in the first film. Peter Cetera (singer of "Glory of Love" from the second film) also gets a nod later on in the series, but it's more subtle.
2. One fan theory is that the parents are intentionally trying to give their son diabetes with all that sugar because nobody likes him and they secretly wish he'd never been born... it's me, I'm the fan.

I’d say some people really felt invested in trashing Netflix’s second outing in the series, while everyone else that may have enjoyed both RoB and Nocturne just wasn’t that emotionally involved in the whole discourse of how this was apparently "the worst show in existence" and how it’s such a "travesty" of the source material that the people behind the show needed to be torment for their offence.

Please release episodes 9&10 of Cobra Kai together for each season, they usually directly tie into eachother.

Oh ok, I still don't find it all that important and think it's a perfect ending but that probably comes down to personality, thank you for at least explaining your reasons. 👍

high school dropouts are a thing. A student who attains the age of 16 years during the school year is not subject to compulsory attendance beyond the date of which the student attains that age if he/she files a formal declaration of intent to terminate school enrollment with the school district. aka there is more to the law then "kids have to school, the law says so"...............

Fair enough. Agreed that it's no reason to hate the whole show, but I wouldn't call that a small detail either. Any component considered "forced" in a story is mostly a problem because it typically comes in the form of inconsistencies in the established world (kinda like how Naruto's childhood makes less and less sense the more you learn). Up to the end they do a good enough job of explaining their life/death concepts and I think the Normies basically hit the major points at the end. They were souls so once their physical body died how where they not just returned to hell? 0 explanation of that point in world (even in form of a theory) is almost insulting. It practically undermines their own concept of death, which is obviously a HUGE part of this world. That scene alone knocks a whole star off this show for me.

What I love about Castlevania's ending is that everything feels earned. After all the hardship, conflict, and pain, out trio can finally settle down. Why shouldn't they get a happy ending? Trevor defeated Death, let the man live his life in peace!

I just asked why you think having a happy ending even if it is forced is bad, especially if it's what was at the time the true finale lol the point I originally made was I've heard some people hate the series because Dracula and Lisa survived which I think is a big overreaction, I've seen you said this is the only part you didn't like about the series so I was curious why when to me it's such a small detail, but fair enough you don't have to tell me if you don't want to.

#Sunday rundown
I never had an issue with Trevor’s survival or Dracula and Lisa revival at the end of Castlevania. The series begins with death and tragedy and a sense of hopelessness. Having it end with characters full of life and hope really worked for me. And when I watched the finale I picked up on the hints that these characters were alive, so it didn’t take me by surprise either. I think it fits very well with the themes that have been established in this season in particular, like with Issac’s character. “I’m going to live.” That’s what they’re all going to do now, and I really like that.

That question alone is exactly why you're confused by people seeing it as bad writing. There's a lot that can be added that's just not going to land with you.

#SundayRundown Even people who don't know Castlevania enough gotta admit with all the F'ed stuff that happens in this world and throughout the story a happy ending is such a great way for this series to end on. At least for the time being they have an era of hope to look forward too. Until ofc Nocturne (idk if they thought they'd continue with a sequel and maybe wanted to end stuff on that happy note) Dracula and his wife reborn does leave some questions but what I know is in the future games Dracula is always reincarnated or alive again so maybe this was just another way to continue the story for him. The show can go so many different routes now which I'm excited for since you guys watched this at the perfect time for Nocturne. Hyped for more story and discussions from yall

As a writer, if I have a condensed time to tell a story, and an idea that can't be touched on until the end with no time to flush it out I would cut the point out. After the Rebus (or however its spelled) is destroyed 95% of he audience isn't thinking about the survival of those two. Dracula coming back in any story is a part of that story, so it didn't have to happen here. It's just a very forced happy ending for the sake of a happy ending.

I'm fine with Trevor surviving, but really can't stand the Dracula/Lisa part. I can over look it being too happy, but it takes some good exposition to make that work (and obviously they don't do that). It's probably the only part of the whole show that bothers me. Interested in getting your takes on Nocturne.

#SundayRundown (Never done one of these but..) I just want to say that the addition of Pat to the couch for Cobra Kai just takes these reactions and conversations to the next level! Pat is hilarious for these types of storylines where the "villains" are highlighted and painted with a better perspective. Can't stop laughing!

#SUNDAYRUNDOWN It was a great choice the show did to switch daniel and Johnny's financial situation and societal standing, really makes it easy to see that just because he was the protagonists in the movies the show isn't gonna have daniel always be in the right. Same with Johnny.

#SundayRundown Castlevania to this day is still one of my favorite video game adaptations (even more so with Nocturne), I believe it perfectly balances being faithful to the source material and allowing the showrunners have their own creative vision. On the topic of Dracula+Lisa coming back, I can understand some complaints, but also think about 1. The season was cut down so this plot point was definitely supposed to be fleshed out more but had to wrap up in 1 episode, and 2. If you didn't know like 20 out of the 30 Castlevania games entire plot revolves around Dracula being ressurected for the protagonist to fight and kill in the next game lol. So it being such a big part of so many of the games it kinda had to happen in the show in some form, at least in this he gets more time to be with his wife not in hell where it looks like even if together there isn't much to explore or do. My take in the end is that the showrunners knew this was the end (Nocturne wasn't greenlit back then) so for the finale they wanted the characters they loved get a true happy ending after such a strange ride, which I'm fine with, some people say this ruins the entire show which I believe is a bit of a overreaction but I'm glad you normies seem to love watching it and I'm hoping you love watching Nocturne as well.♥️

I’ve seen that consensus apparently also cause they swapped races of Annette? Idk bout that but no haven’t played the game. But to me just watching shows I think it is arguably better than Castlevania season 1. Ritcher is a great mc who by the end you can argue has potential to be better than Trevor nd gang. Like I really like our new characters. 8.5/10 season one
