Could you guys please react to OP 3 for Bleach? The only spoiler in that whole OP had to do with the reveal of Captain Kuchiki's Bankai, but now that Ichicgo's battle with Byakuya is over, you've already seen the full extent of his bankai. And Suraj and Rana accidentally saw it in a #SundayRunDown from a few weeks back. I think the fan who told you to wait until episode 61 to watch was severely mistaken, which seems to be the case with many fans who watched the show years ago and misremembered details about the show.

Yeah if they think Soul Society is dragging at points then upcoming parts are going to be rough. All things considered I don't think the pacing in this arc is bad at all for a long running early 2000s shounen. There are cuts to what other characters are doing but for the most part it is important stuff. The issue here is that they have made it clear that they don't care about just about anything that doesn't involve Ichigo. But anime has changed over time and tastes have changed so I get it. These days people are more used to shows that really just get to the action and that isn't a bad thing at all.

It's probably more difficult to get into this series as an adult and a lot of the enjoyment of this anime is nostalgia based. I've tried to get into this anime several times in recent years and every time I would get to random points early on leaving me with thoughts like "why do I or should I care about the Bleach universe?".

Byakuya vs Ichigo is goated. So much nostalgia. Byakuya bankai reminds me of Gaara the way he moves his blades like Gaara does his sand. This fight gives me Rock Lee vs Gaara vibes because of Ichigo's speed, plus Naruto and Bleach are animated from the same company, Studio Pierrot. Now you guys are seeing more and more inspiration from JJK. Evil Itadori inside Itadori just like Evil Ichigo (White/Hollow Ichigo). Next episodes are gonna be insane. MICKY CAUGHT ON! The irony of villains being white and heroes being black is a big thing in "BLEACH". Also, in Japan, white is generally the color of all things spiritual, and specifically in Buddhism, of things related to death. - By the way, if you haven't gotten there yet, episode 64 is mixed canon/filler. Starts out canon, and transitions into the filler arc. Interestingly, the after-credits segment is also canon. It introduces a small detail that's not very important, but knowing you guys, you'll probably notice it and be confused if you don't watch it. 😝 If you let the credits roll, you can listen to the preview without watching it (the character banter doesn't spoil) then look back as Kon introduces the segment.

Man Byakuya really is such an interesting character. Also about the black and white thing, hopefully somebody else here can point out things I am getting wrong or misinterpreting but I believe in Japan the color white is meant to symbolize death. What I so know though is that Tite Kuba personally has a tendency to assign the color white to his antagonists. We see this with Byakuya's powers being a light pink before becoming pure white as he charges his final blow and the bone white masks of the hollows. This is contrasted with Ichigo's pitch black power and reiatsu at his peak and his Bankai even giving him a pitch black cloak to contrast the white haori the captains wear. Even if you look at his non Bleach works he follows this color theory which I won't put examples so there are no spoilers.

Yup honestly if you watch a shounen and you worried about seeing something then that's just weird because if you watch an action anime and you know some characters are eventually going to fight then why be shocked it's in a opening even though it was bound to happen. I've never skipped an opening to an anime and have never thought it ruined my experience.

Now that you've come this far a key thing to help understand about Bankai is think about it as not always simply just a power up but a major expansion in scale of the zanpakuto's concept. For example Senbonzakura at Shikai breaks the blade into 1000 small metal blades that are freely controlled, at Bankai it becomes countless blades that each break into thousands of blade each allowing for way more versatility in fighting. It can obviously deal more damage at that scale but not specifically because the blades were stronger. Byakuya talks shit on Ichigo's Bankai because they are typically enormous in comparrison to a plain katana (like Renji's big snake, Kaname's sensory deprivation chamber, or Sajin's armored giant.), which is also why they specified it typically takes 10 years of training after attaining Bankai, to generally get used to fighting with one.

Ichigo is a whole human so in some ways it does make sense that her giving him power results in these consequences, interfering and completely changing his life. Also guys, the show was originally gonna be called Snipe because Kubo wanted guns, then he was gonna change it to Black for the Soul Reaper outfits but it was too simple, then he chose Bleach because it makes you think of the color White in contrast to the Soul Reaper outfits.

Okay to be fair, I don’t think they have an hourly schedule where they promise to deliver by a certain time of the day. Yeah we are getting more mistakes per usual but a lot of creators on Patreon are even more erratic about their release times than they are. It was fixed within 2-3 hours. Some constructive criticism is always helpful but most of the comments seem to be exaggerating too much. The quality of their content is already so much to be thankful for relative to most of this space. Easily enough to overlook hiccups every now and then

Just my 2 cents: The missing/wrong links don't bother me particularly, but comes off as amateurish and screams of half-assing it. They aren't working on a fixed timetable, they can take their time to double check before posting. Once or twice it's understandable, but it happens recurrently, which is why some people seemed to be overly triggered by it.

The manga version of the bankai scene was a special chapter of bleach I think the panels had orange borders and it was in color if I remember correctly. Every single panel was beautiful I highly recommend checking it out it’s honestly more hype in the manga. Also yes that comedic scene wasn’t in the manga there wasn’t any comedy inbetween the ichigo vs byakuya fight. I’m honestly amazed you guys asked where Toshiro and rangiku were going when they literally said it. The ending of ichigo and Byakuya was built up since ichigo heard about mod souls being destroyed. Ichigo saw that as in humane but rukia reaction to it was more about a law the soul society made. Ichigo saw this blind following as odd you see more of this the more you learn about soul society. You see captains and some lieutenant even find it odd this execution is even happening. the point of Ichigo continuing to fight byakuya and not killing him when he had a sword to his throat was to prove a point to byakuya that these laws and traditions of soul society shouldn’t be the end all be all. If ichigo didn’t show up despite the some people not thinking Rukia’s execution was necessary they still would have allowed it. The anime left out showing the Kaien who Rukia killed as Byakuya looked at ichigo he saw them as similar. In the manga what makes Byakuya understand ichigo is the similarities they had in personality. Not a spoiler they just cut it. Also the point of what Byakuya was saying about his bankai is that his sword is condensed with speed and power. Carrying a smaller sword doesn’t just make you faster he does the same thing in senkei condensing his power.

Which version are you guys going to use when you watch the Evangelion Rebuilds? I just checked out the English dub on prime and it doesn’t sound super great to me. I don’t think they have the same voice actors from the Netflix version. Maybe you should switch to the sub for Rebuilds since it’s like the series is starting over anyway.

Ah the comments are never a disappointment, I'm also bummed about the bleach thing but I just never care enough to complain about it, so I get where people are coming from this has definitely become a bit of a trend with the normies. I'm subscribed to several Patreons so it's definitely noticable in comparison to some of their peers. Idk to me it's never that big a deal, but for those who are continually disappointed might I recommend unsubscribing for a while and just coming back later, I do this all the time with the normies where I'll unsub for like 2-4months when a particular show is in a lull then resub when it's at a better pace. Works for me
