You really don't unless you speak Japanese. For me the dub comes off natural since English is my native language and I understand what's being said.

2023-05-18 06:36:55 +0000 UTCIt's crazy how even with Bleach, it's known as one of the anime that people prefer the dub over the sub for the most part and it's regarded as one of the greatest dubs yet and still people will still hate on Bleach dub lmfao. People will just hate on dub no matter what since it's the thing to do and always say sub is superior when it's possible that dubs can be superior. Even with the scene with Ichigo telling Rukia "Why don't you sit over there and yell "save me, save me" that was hilarious. JYB did a great job. Death note is known for having a phenomenal dub but people will still say the sub is better for it or trash the dub lol. I know people have their preferences with sub which is fine but I'm just saying.

I remember being on the edge of my seat first time I watched. "Scatter, Senbonzakura" Byakuya has one of the coolest techniques. Yep captain Ukitake is Gaara's VA.

It was the era before dubs started to tone down a bit the "tAlKiNg LiKE tHiS" unnatural fluctuating tone and it has a *super* slow cadence. Like sub is overly hammy as well but the flow isn't quite as unnatural.

Right now, it's not clear who is or is not going to end up together, and the couch gang is having fun discussing their preferred pairings. Talking about why you like this or that pairing, or why you think this or that pairing is better than another is fine, but trying to discourage others from having ships by talking about what happens in the manga or anime is not. First because it's spoilers, second because it doesn't matter when talking about shipping. In any popular story, regardless of what does or doesn't happen in the canon, people will have their ships. Sometimes it's because they genuinely believe/hope that a certain character relationship will blossom that way, sometimes it's because they think that a certain character romance would've been better than what the author had in mind, sometimes it's because they wish characters who never get a romance WOULD get one, and sometimes it's just fun imagining certain characters paired up with each other. In any case, even if you think a certain endgame pairing is obvious, if there has been no actual romance on screen, then it's not obvious to a lot of people, and saying that a romance does or doesn't happen in the manga or the anime is a straight-up spoiler and disrespectful to the react crew.

Shinsou (Gin) These are based off old subs so they may have been saying something different in the dubs so far that I didn't catch

I really like that this fight reminded Kenpachi of his past and how he felt not having a name and how it relates to his sword. Which is even more amazing foreshadowing for later. Ah And they talked over the kaien dialogue

Kenpachi is a title given to the strongest Soul Reaper and there can only be one Kenpachi per generation. Another fun fact: Kubo did not write any sort of romance between Rukia and Ichigo in the manga, the anime did that by themselves and Kubo hated it but by the time he had learned it was a thing, the anime was already well in production and airing so he couldn’t talk to the directors about changing it.
