2023-02-27 01:51:37 +0000 UTCSo there are a lot of interesting facts about this movie with behind the scenes stuff. For example during the freaky eye scene the guy fighting John Wick was Tiger Chen, Keanu Reeve's best friend and martial arts trainer. Keanu actually directed a film with Tiger Chen as the hero and Keanu as the villain. The Adjudicator was originally written as a giant buff man as a reference to the book Blood Meridian but when that didn't work when there were testing things out they looked for other ideas and found Asia Kate Dillon who worked with Keanu to create a character based around them. Zero's role was originally made for Hiroyuki Sanada but he had to drop out due to an injury so Mark Dacascos was cast. The character was also almost completely rewritten with Mark Dacascos' being a real life fanboy of Keanu Reeves and the John Wick character becoming part of Zero's character. Also his implied Japanese nationality was due to the role having been originally been written for the Japanese Sanada.
