Hi everybody!
Hope you've all been well~ ^^ I've got your weekly roundup of sketches to deliver on your doorstep. I've worked strictly in traditional medium this past week and its been so nice switching gears and taking a break from digital. Recently, I've been much more interested in detailed sketches and have encouraged myself to take time with each stroke. I like how they feel more polished rather than quick and messy like my digital sketches. It actually feels quite therapeutic to make purposeful strokes instead of rushing through the process like I usually do. ^^;;
Without further ado, sketches time!

Drawings of kitties I found in various books about cats. My favorite is the top right kitty, I refer to him lovingly as Potato Cat. Because he is shaped like a beautiful potato.

A new OC I came up with! Her name is Mara and she's a succulent doctor who takes care of and nurses succulents to health. Inspired by my recent trip to a cactarium, I wanted to make a character who shares my love for cacti, but takes it to the next level. These are just a few sketches, but I feel like she already has the potential to be quite a comedic character and I look forward to drawing more of her. :D

Ladies~

And more ladies!
I hope you enjoy these sketches! I certainly had fun drawing them. ^^ And since it's the end of the month I've compiled all of July's sketches into one big .zip folder that you can download and enjoy. It should be at the bottom of this post for you to access.
Since August is about to start, did you do anything fun in July? In my case, I learned how to bake both banana bread and a key lime pie for the first time! It was a great experience and both desserts came out quite delicious if I do say so myself. :'D
Thank you all so much for support and I hope you have a wonderful day! ^^<3
Much love,
Vicki
