?Thrifting is my life and it's time for some monthly favorites!?

Hi everyone!

Whew, someone is cookin' up some delicious dinner and it's beautiful scent is wafting in through my window. Mmm~

Right, monthly favorites! I've got some fun ones to share with you this month, so let's just get right to it!

Music:

-Let me Love You by DJ Snake ft. Justin Bieber (The title reminds me of the version by Mario, but trust me it's an entirely different song. There's no denying it, with JB's recent releases, I have quickly fallen in love with his vocals. They're so smooth and filled with emotion, especially when paired with loud electro beats that balance out the softness with some edge. I'm a fan!)

-anything that I listened to in the 90s and 2000s (Let's face it, I'm a 90s kid and the music of that era and the turn of the century are really working their magic on me even in 2016. Sum 41, Jimmy Eat World, and Hilary Duff are just a few of the artists I've been jamming out to while drawing recently and it has been AWESOME. 'nuff said!)

Activities:

-thrift shopping (Ever since I watched the documentary The True Cost, I've been adamant about limiting/cutting myself off from shopping fast fashion. I highly recommend watching it by the way, it explains everything about fast fashion far better than I could in this single post. However, giving up fast fashion is hard for me, especially since I'm a person who LOVES buying and wearing cute clothes. A great, and fun, way for me to remedy this is by going shopping at thrift stores and even shopping vintage online! It guarantees I'll have a one-of-a-kind outfit and I feel better knowing I'm not supporting corporations who gravely exploit human labor and natural resources. Basically thrifting is awesome and I am addicted!!)

Lifestyle:

-doing more, saying less (This one speaks for itself and I'm not gonna pretend like I came up with this. I've been finding that life is richer and fuller when I do more. It's also been filled with much less regrets and "what ifs". It's freeing and I encourage it to anyone who is feeling stagnant or a bit lost in life right now.)

That's it for this month's favorites! Let me know your thoughts in the comments, what have been your monthly favorites, did you eat something really delicious, or so a beautiful sunset, tell me!

Much love,

-Vicki
