Greetings, folks! If you’re thinking about joining the OX Supporters Club, wondering what the OX Supporters Club means for Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra, or just looking for some extra information about this whole deal, this might be the post for you.

1. Will you be putting your videos behind a paywall?

No. All our regular Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra content will remain accessible to everyone in our community, whether or not they choose to join the OX Supporters Club. Please enjoy!

2. What does this Patreon mean for those who have paid for Outside Xbox or Outside Xtra channel membership over on YouTube?

This Patreon will not affect YouTube channel memberships, which YouTube will continue to run in parallel, with the associated perks (badges, Super Chat, etc) remaining in place.

If you are a member on YouTube, thank you for that, and if you would like to continue supporting us there that is still very much appreciated, but this new Patreon will be the best way to support us more directly as creators.

3. If I join the OX Supporters Club, how will I vote for games for upcoming streams?

As we plan our live streams, we will invite members to vote in polls to help decide which game to play. These polls will appear in members-only posts here on the OX Supporters Club patreon page and we’ll notify you in the Discord when they go up.

4. What is Discord?

If you’re not already familiar with Discord, don’t worry. It’s an instant messaging and voice chat platform that is free and easy to use. For our purposes, it’s basically an online text-based chat room with multiple themed channels where folks in the OX Supporters Club can hang out together.

5. How does one Discord?

You can access our Discord server through a browser or in the Discord app, which you can download from the official site https://discord.com/. You can also use Discord on your phone. Specific instructions for connecting to the OX Supporters Club Discord server will be sent to new members after they join on Patreon.

6. What can I do in the OX Supporters Club Discord server?

The OX Supporters Club Discord server has been set up to let members chat to each other, but also contains channels where members can put questions to Andy, Jane, Mike, Ellen and Luke, suggest video ideas for Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra, and chill out together while watching live streams.

Patreon members will find more details and Discord server rules when they jump into the server for the first time. 

7. Where do the membership fees from this Patreon go?

The majority of the proceeds from this Patreon will go to Andy, Jane, Mike, Ellen and Luke, with a small proportion going as fees to Patreon and the parent company of Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra, making the OX Supporters Club a great way to support us directly.
