"As night falls the forest comes to life with the gentle glow of fireflies and sprites. Through the canopy the stars glitter, distant nebula casting multicoloured lights on the leaves and branches. The day has been long and tiresome, but the night brings with it a much needed respite."
This track was written as a custom commission by a Patreon supporter as theme music for one of their player's characters, a tiefling druid from a continent split it two by a dangerous jungle. She was born in the north so her human mother hid her for years. At the age of 10, one of the townsfolk saw her, screamed demon, and soon after a mob had been razed to attack her. Her mother sent her downriver and into the jungle, hoping to give her daughter a chance at a better life. She was eventually taken in by a tribe of druids and earth genasi. She found comfort in the trees and nature, finding hiding in the treetops and becoming one with nature a freeing experience. Every night, she would look up at the stars like she used to with her mother and feel like home.
