🚨First Instalment Of SWMC Lite For Tier 1 Supporters About To Drop!

Hi everyone,
Several weeks back I asked you guys if there was any interest in a version of SteinWipe Motion Control for non-wiper use that I would make available to all paid supporters, especially the T1 supporters who have been patiently waiting for new model files. The response was overwhelmingly positive for this project so I wasted no time and got to work on creating SWMC Lite!
This month, T1 and up supporters will start getting access to the all new lineup of SWMC Lite files as they are released. These SWMC breakout files are designed to roll out in chunks so you guys can get to using them right away and not have to wait until the entire project is complete. Because of this rollout, SWMC Lite is using a brand new feature called SteinSwitch Definitions. This allows you to basically have cheat codes for your printer and keeps your configurations safe upon updating SWMC Gcodes!

The Printer Notes will now control any configurable SteinSwitch saving you from having to go in and edit the SteinSwitches throughout the code. This will save you time and make things so much easier for configuring the features you want while removing features you don't want. This also makes it very safe to make changes, too! If an error is made, the function simply gets ignored- the same can not be said about making errors in the main Gcode areas!! A huge thanks to Innovator Discord Member endernerd for cracking the syntax on this making this game-changing feature possible in BBS and OrcaSlicer!

It works like this:
Add the provided code from the SWMC Lite listing to Orca Slicer or Bambu Studio in the appropriate field (in this example, this pause mod release works in older and newer slicer versions but Bambu Studio has limited G-code ability so it is recommended to use Orca).

Head over to the Printer Notes and input the SteinSwitch Definitions which will activate/deactivate mentioned features. Leaving this area blank effectively turns all features off. Make sure you input in the definitions carefully - they are case sensitive and spaces at the start or end of the definition will cancel the function. If an error is made, no harm done, it just wont run the set feature. For a full list of available definitions, each SWMC Lite listing will state what the definitions are and how they work.

Slice your file and find the layer you would like to add a pause for, right click the vertical slider and insert a pause for this layer. Note: the pause starts and the beginning of this layer and you must re-slice the file after inserting a pause before sending to your printer.

Once the printer reaches the pause layer, if using OrcaSlicer to produce the file, the Bed will lower allowing more space to access the print (BBS lacks the variable necessary to safely do this within the Pause Gcode section so this feature is only Avail. in Orca at this time).

Upon resume, the internal firmware of the stock pause routine will execute and attempt to take the purge into your print. We can not avoid this firmware controlled routine from taking place but we can prevent it from completing it's way over to the print before it does any damage.

SWMC takes over at this point and moves the tool head back over the chute and does a proper purge and breaks the filament string correctly. SWMC also sets the correct pressure in the nozzle to continue printing for a seamless transition upon returning to the print.

Turning any SWMC feature off is a simple as turning the definition into a comment by adding a " ; " before the SteinSwitch Definition.

I am looking forward to hearing your feedback and feature suggestions with this new suite of SWMC Lite files and configuration method!

As always, thank you everyone for your incredible support and for sticking around while I work on these solutions behind the scenes! Stay tuned for the listing release later today or tomorrow - I am just wrapping up the final testing and tuning. I will make another post when it goes live!

Happy Printing!
Leckiestein
