Vote To Fill Monday's Show Spot

Hey, folks please read this before you post a question. There's a chance I have already answered the question here or in a previous post, links are at the bottom.

You are allowed to vote on more than one show. Please pick all of the shows you would like to see.

Top 5 Shows from the Previous Poll

The shows below were removed to make space for other requests. You will have a chance to vote on these shows in a future poll. They will take the place of the bottom show or shows from future poll results.

Shows with the lowest votes from the Previous Poll-Removed

Shows added to this Poll

Shows that will be added to the next Poll if a show receives fewer votes

Below is the list of shows that were not added to the poll because they were too long. Remember these shows will have their own polls when Inside No 9, Men Behaving Badly, or Taskmaster ends.

Shows that were suggested but didn't meet the 26 episodes or less requirement.

Coupling 28 Episodes

Fresh Meat 30 Episodes

The Good Life 30 Episodes

Butterflies 30 Episodes

Bad Lads Army 32 Episodes

People Just Do Nothing 32 Episodes Counting 5 Episode web series

Misfits 37 episodes

Plebs Episodes 38 Episodes

Outnumbered 40 Episodes

Monty Python's Flying Circus 45 Episodes

Steptoe and Son 57 Episodes

Not going out 83 Episodes

My family 120 Episodes

Remember if it's a sketch show or has more than 26 episodes it will not make it to the poll. There will be an opportunity to vote on longer shows when Inside No 9, One Foot In The Grave, or The Vicar Of Dibley end.

If you have more questions, please use the 8 links below to read the previous poll posts.

There's a problem requesting shows that are currently being made. There's no guarantee that all of them will be shown. After the series has reached the end of what's available a new show will be chosen. If that is 3 series and they make a further 3 or 4 after that it is unlikely it would win a pole again. Voting goes in waves and it would be difficult for everyone to go in the same direction at the same time twice. Inside No9 and Taskmaster may buck the trend but I can't see anything else doing it. Going Straight could have done well in this pole but I can't see it doing as well in the next one. People would have moved on. Remember we only got 73% of Porridge and 66% of After Life.

I mostly agree with you and your frustrations regarding lack of variety, as well as the flawed voting system, but I really don't think you have anything to worry about regarding this becoming a predominantly Alan Partridge channel. "I'm Alan Partridge" was reacted to two years ago, since it ended, we've had no regular Alan Partridge reactions until six weeks ago when KMKY was voted in. If "Mid Morning Matters" does win, we'll have another 12 weeks, after that, there is only one Alan Partridge series left to react to, the 12-episode series "This Time". "Life's Too Short" is a decent show, but there was a time on here when a Ricky Gervais penned show would automatically win any poll they were on! "The Office" and "Extras" were voted in, (rightfully so, two of the best sitcoms ever written IMO), then not long after, both "Derek" and "Afterlife" were voted in to be on the lineup at the same time! My point is, it's hardly fair to point to Alan Partridge as an example of ubiquitous content on here, and use a Ricky Gervais show as an example of an underdog. There won't be multiple Alan Partridge shows running concurrently, because KMKY will finish on Tuesday, for one week only there will be two Alan Partridge shows on the lineup. The real issue on here is one you alluded to, and that's new requests not getting on the polls. I've seen multiple requests for Derry Girls, Flight of the Conchords, Ghosts, Summer Heights High, Ideal etc. and they are actual series! I have never seen one comment requesting Wallace & Gromit, and that's not even a series! (They are very good short films, but my point still stands)

Ben

I feel like there is a lot of specific shows getting on because the same people vote.. we are gonna have 15 Alan Partridge shows before Life's Too Short, or Ideal (which has been asked for a lot but never makes the poll) or anything not Alan Partridge. I like him, but at this rate it's gonna be a different AP show a night. We need some variety.. And I'm not sure where you got 22 Episodes for Wallace and Gromit Josh, it's actually a series of 5 full length movies..

Austin Stratton

Going straight should be on the poll to follow what happens next to Fletcher. Also Derry girls needs to be on the list

Robin Brown

Mighty boosh would be incredible but judging by the past not gonna happen, even thin blue line is beating it and even as a Rowan lover it's pretty terrible. Life's too short, anything Alan Partridge or This is England are the nextbest thing.

Contex - It's Just A Ride

Love to see you watch Absolutely fabulous on your polls loved it back then as a teen

Kate

Another cracking comedy series to add to a future list would be "15 Storeys High" starring Sean Lock and Benedict Wong. There are only two seasons so it would be a nice short one.

Stephen

Psychoville would be better as a successor to Inside No9 rather than showing both shows concurrently. Although I guess it’s the long show / short show thing ?

Gary Tamblyn

Hi Josh I have a few more suggestions, I’m not sure which place is best to post suggestions, here are some very popular comedy shows. Some are still running though! “Ghosts”, “Two doors down” and “The other one”
