September 5th Progress Update

I finished up the enemies for Caverns levels 7 & 8, and also polished up one from the previous levels a bit. The enemies are all now placed as well. I think the only thing left is the battle background.

Until I decide what to do about the "losing to enemies" animation, new enemies will be using the "lose to titans" system, where Sienna basically teleports home and loses 25 tranquility. This system will remain for enemies that are (for whatever reason) sexually incompatible. I'd also like to use it for any enemy defeat that would previously have resulted in a game over (except for bosses, but those will mostly have a retry option anyway).

After I get the latest commissions from Bebe, I'm hopeful that I'll feel inspired enough to work on updating the rest of the bosses, and/or old NPCs like Gray, the people at Kendra's Palace, etc.. In the meantime I'll probably start working on The Depths next.

If you're curious, only 7 areas remain to be finished in The Abyss.
1: The Hollows (all 3 basic level layouts finished)
2: The Depths (1st level layout finished, working on monsters...)
3: The Coliseum (all 3 basic level layouts finished)
4: The Necropolis (1st level layout finished)
5: The Forlorn Halls (not started yet)
6/7: The Temple & The Stygia (all 5 basic level layouts finished)

Most of the level layouts are finished, but they need decor, loot, debris, monsters, boss rooms, and all that other good stuff. I've already picked out music for most of these areas as well, except for maybe the last 3.
