Comments

It was like 10 votes behind the 4th place spot. Miraculously it got a surge of votes like 12 hours before the poll closed

Danny

I mentioned this in last week's film comments but probably best to post it here and give another shout out to Bernard and the Genie. It's a really underrated TV movie written by Richard Curtis (Blackadder) and starring Alan Cumming, Lenny Henry, Rowan Atkinson (and also Denis Lill who played Alan Parry in Only Fools and Horses). It's a Christmas-themed, modern, comedic riff on an Aladdin-style tale and features a young man, a lamp, and a genie, and it's just brilliant IMHO. I think you would love it Josh and given that we're almost at Christmas it'd be good to add to a poll. It was too late for this one, alas, but it'd still be an appropriate watch for January. :-) When I say "modern" - it was at the time. It was released in 1991 so does seem dated but it's excellent stuff nonetheless! Oh, and it's available on Britbox in the UK - not sure if it is in the USA but assume you use a VPN as and when necessary anyway! :-D

Ash Jeffries

Looks 1 point of same as Bronson against dirty grandpa unfortunately

Jonny

Eh? It's made it through hasn't it?

Richard M

Better luck next time Withnail.

Toby Mann

Wonder if people got bad grandpa and dirty grandpa mixed up especially cos it got added after the jackass reaction

Tiz Waz

The Pink Panther and all the Pink Panther films following should make the next list, the original though with Peter Sellers (absolutely NOT the remakes with Steve Martin)......

Stuart McArdle

Nuns on the Run...1980s movie with Robbie Coltraine and Eric Idle.

Great shout.

Richard M

Yes, I've mentioned that several times but it doesn't get votes because no one's seen it apparently.

Alexander Bond

Trading Places (1983), please. If you've not seen it.

Surprised see East is East doing so well.

Danny

Subtitled films could be difficult with viewers having watch on a smaller screen. Itd be rough on mobile watchers watching a whole film squinting at subtitles

Danny

Sad it keeps getting missed off. Need finish the trilogy!. It's been like 7 months since the last one

Danny

Can I ask if there is a reason that naked gun 33 1/3 hasn’t been added to the past lists?

Ferris Booyaa

It's a good film, but I think Alfie is better and I love Zulu. And neither of those films are as good as The Man Who Would Be King; in my opinion the best film of Michael Caine and Sean Connery's careers. If you read this Josh, could you add The Man Who Would Be King to the list, please?

Rob Thompson

The 2010 one got more votes than the 2007, which was removed from the list. I'm hoping that the voters were just confused and/ or inebriated when voting.

Daniel

American werewolf is the stand out!🙏

Josh Clulow

What reprobate even suggested it in the first place?!

Right Said Brett

Heh Josh, you have the later American remake of Death At A Funeral (2010) on the list. I'm assuming that whoever requested the movie were referring to the 2007 British original, which most people consider better than the remake.

Rob Thompson

Genuinely surprised (and happy) that The Elephant Man has so many votes, considering it's a bit of a left field choice for a Josh reaction. Also surprised (and disappointed) that Grosse Pointe Blank has so few. It's such a brilliant film, and I understand It will probably drop off next month's list for being one of the lowest scoring. :(

Jay

Bottom Live got my vote :P

TheHigh

Death at a funeral is hilarious but wont get many votes because not a lot of people have seen it 😞

Matthew

can u put subtitled films if so city of god

daniel venables

Scary Movie? Anyone? Can we add it to the list please Josh :)

Austin Stratton

You should add 'Rita, Sue and Bob Too' to the list.

Rob Walters

Bottom shouldn’t need a vote, How dare he put it on a list lol

Scott

I actually prefer the second Bottom Live show to the first, so I look forward to that reaction! Helps that I already know how much you like Bottom, Josh! You'll love this one I'm sure! :-D

Ash Jeffries

It's one of the lowest-rated British films ever, so not sure on that one!

Joe Gardiner

I give up on polls haha

Liam

Beast, Werewolf and Fish, come on!

Alexander Bond

OMG "Sex Lives of the Potato Men", guys, seriously, its so underrated. Think josh might just pull a stomach muscle laughing if he watches that. More votes needed please :)

Belekai

and Dirty Grandpa is doing so well. It makes you wonder who these people are..

Sam Reeves

He's done a reaction to Bruno. https://www.patreon.com/posts/bruno-r-2009-1h-54085755?

Danny

cant believe Fear and Loathing is doing so badly.

Gyle

I think you need to re-watch Lock Stock 😉

Richard M

Have you seen ‘Get Carter’ Josh? Don’t know if that’s ever been on a polll? Arguably Michael Caine’s best ever film

Joe S

It won’t win now but for any of you who haven’t seen ‘The Gentlemen’ you really should, I’d say it’s Guy Ritchie’s second best ever behind Snatch. Even better than Lock Stock 👍

Joe S

Could you please add; Bruno, the classic; Planet of the Apes (Charlton Heston) oh and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (Donald Sutherland) Many thanks.

Robert Trainer

It pleases me to see Sex Lives of the Potato Men with low votes

Danny

Can you maybe add Amadeus for next time, Josh? Amazing film.

Richard M

Could you add unbroken ,papillion new one and i think you may like green street

Craig Burns

Law Abiding Citizen (2009)

Andrew

Always watch Bottom around Christmas nice to see Live show number 2 on the poll

Jonny

Yeah, I have seen Back to the Future. The list above are the movies I've seen that people have requested I add to the poll.

After Work Reactions

Baseketball is hilarious! Baffled to see the vote count so low on it.

Lee

Wait... Does that list mean you've not seen Back To The Future?? 😯

Mr K

The Parole Officer needs adding back Josh, you'd love that film mate!
