Spoiler Free:  Fun, Goofy Episode

Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!    Spoiler Alert !!!!   Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!

This was a very goofy episode and I enjoyed it. Watching a bunch of old dudes struggle to play football while Ted loses his shit was priceless. I love how the opposing team bragged about having a player who can climb two flights of stairs lol. I don't have tons to say about this episode except it was very silly and I enjoyed it.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

As always I would love to read your comments below

Man that Nickelodeon shirt is on point

C Dread

Seconded, it starts off quite slowly (as lots of these shows do) but it builds to some tremendous episodes with tonnes of ridiculous situations and excellent callbacks to innocuous events/statements earlier on.

I do hope One Foot in the Grave replaces this slot it’s a great 90s sitcom same era be great to re-watch with you.

Thanks man I appreciate it! I am looking forward to checking it out =]

As some others have said, the next episode is a direct continuation of this one, and is EASILY my FAVOURITE of all time. The title of the episode says it all. The entire thing is GENIUS! CAN'T WAIT for you to watch it.

slashdisco

This was a really good one I enjoyed it a whole lot.

This sets up probably one of the best Father Ted episodes at least top 3 anyway.

And the next episode really is a continuation of this one - and the forfeit is really expected 😁

One Foot in the Grave gets more relatable as you get older. There are definitely some dark themes intertwined with the funnies which will go over a kids head. If you were to watch it again I think you wouldn't suggest it quite so family-friendly or would at least find a layer of depth that no kid would appreciate or even be able to acknowledge. Very well written show.

The world of fashion joke about the Italian man who was so good at fashion they had to shoot him was about Versace.

My favourite part of all your Father Ted reactions - seeing you getting your jam on to the opening credits :)))

One Foot In The Grave is a great show but I'm remembering as a kid. It's a very family friendly show, the type my mum and dad used to love but I used to find it hilarious as a kid....will be interesting to see if I still find it funny as an adult used to more edgy comedy though, Bottom/Inbetweeners it is not is all I'll say (that being a comment of content type and not funniness)

Steve King

I'm pretty sure Dougal meant Gianni Versace, who was murdered a bit before this episode came out. Nothing to do with fascism.
