Spoiler Free: The final episode folks!!!
Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!! Spoiler Alert !!!!
I am going to do something different this time for the final episode. I will rate how this final episode stacks up to my other favorites from the show. Let's go with my top ten episodes. But first The ending was such a surprise, who ends a show with their main characters being killed that was great lol. Maybe they weren't killed who knows, it would suck for Richie to die a virgin.
#1. Accident
#2. Gas Man
#3. Smells
#4.Finger
#5. S' Out
#6. S' Up
#7. Apocalypse
#8. Carnival
#9. Culture
#10. Digger
What are your favorite episodes ??
Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!
As always I would love to read your comments below
I loved your reaction to the previous episode, I had to nip downstairs half way through and all I could hear was you laughing your ass off, which was in itself hilarious. This will be the 3rd time I've watched the series from start to end, but the first time watching in the format of a reaction and it's like watching it all over again for the first time. superb !

it's up to you if you think they survived in the end - in a previous episode they fell from the top of a ferris wheel and lived so like any old looney tunes they could probably survive getting shot too. plus they are much older in the live shows. hope you enjoyed the show man, very unique from other sitcoms you are used to i'm sure.

Sad that Bottom has ended! I’ve really enjoyed rewatching all these episodes with you. Hope you will get around to doing Bottom Fluff, The Young Ones and Filthy, Rich and Catflap too.

The movie is mostly passable with some really good bits. But you have to watch the Guest House Paradiso fight scene. its by far the funniest fight seen in Bottom.

I always loved how strong his accent is at the start "Some people are bit short tempered aren't they?!". That and his few references to Kidderminster always fill me with pride as a fellow Worcestershire-ite (yes, where the sauce is from!)

the first 3 bottom lives are fantastic too! 4 and 5 are good, but not as good.

This is up there as one of my favourites of all. The “Helloo Jakob”, “444-4444” and “I wish I had a mum like that” bits are still regularly spouted between me and my mates while we’re out drinking.
So glad you enjoyed it (and I laughed out loud when you commented about Ritchie dying a virgin as in all the years of watching it it never crossed my mind!).
While Guest House Paradiso isn’t as liked as the TV show it’s definitely worth a watch. I’ve seen it quite a few times and it always raises a chuckle. Lots of memorable moments.
Please don’t forget to check out Bottom Fluff (the outtakes) if you manage to find it on line, would love to see you react to all of those.

Honestly I thought the Movie was great, would really love you to watch it Josh to wrap up the Bottom stuff!
I remember going to the cinema with my friend at the time and we laughed pretty much the whole way through. Please don't skip :D

I think my two favourites are Holy and Culture. The Christmas special is a scream from beginning to end and the culmination of that ep is hysterical.
RICHIE: Gold, Frankenstein, and Grrrr! And you're all wearing crowns!
(pause)
And I'm a virgin!!!
:-D
Culture is just a masterclass in creating 30 minutes of hilarity in one room with just 2 characters. The chess game scenes are the funniest of the whole show IMHO.
RICHIE: Right, let me get this sorted out. Now the bent vicar stands next to the queen. [holds up cactus with crown] And the queen goes in every direction.
EDDIE: That's right.
RICHIE: And they let children play this, you say?!
Lots of other strong episodes too, my favourites including Accident, Hole, 's Out, 's Up, Apocalypse, Terror (Hallowe'en ep is fantastic!), Dough and Contest.
The first two live shows are great but I do think Bottom Live 3 onwards is where it loses its appeal. I have a love-hate or rather just plain baffled relationship with Guest House Paradiso; it's tonally quite a bit darker than the TV series but unlike say the TV series "The League of Gentlemen", it's not all that successful. It feels as if they weren't quite sure what they wanted to do as although it's essentially Richie and Eddie... it kind of isn't at the same time. It's an alternate paradigm. Ade Edmondson directed it and said as much in the Behind the Scenes feature.
It isn't terrible but it's... odd. I'd watch it out of morbid curiosity if nothing else. :p

I can't really say what order I'd put them in because it depends on my mood but by top 5 would be;
Gas, Accident, Finger, S'out and Hole
And the next 5 would be Apocalypse, Smells, Dough, Holy and S'up.
I've probably missed one of my favourites 🤔

I agree with you. A few of the live shows are better than the others but i enjoy them all and they're definitely all worth watching :)

It sounds like you're not British, and if so it's always cool to see humour cross national boundaries. That's one of the things that I like most about this channel. Seeing a big American guy, completely different from me and the people in this show, laughing hard at all the same jokes I laughed at, and getting the weirdness of Rik's character, getting all the bizarre little nuances of his trembling, neurotic, insecure teenage-girl mannerisms. It's not such a big gap between us after all.

Josh, the live shows are like one off extended episodes. Despite what people say, all of the live shows are really good, yes some are better than others but none of them are rubbish :) They get away with a being able to do a lot more (swearing/violence) than they usually did on TV, so it definatly worth a watch. The movie "Guest House Paradiso" is again like an extended episode. Regardless of what happened in the series, if you ask yourself what would it be like if ritchie and eddie ran a hotel, then thats exactly what you get. Its true its not the best movie ever made, but there really are some funny moments. What most people wont tell you is that Simon Peg stars in it, given how much you like him and nick frost its worth a look. I just checked and here in the UK its still on Netflix, not sure for how long though.

Two great shows wrapped up in the past week, Inbetweeners and now Bottom. First episode of Bottom I couldn't tell what it was, it is so different from anything else Ive seen I couldn't make out what was going on. The second episode, Gas, is hen I realized this show is brilliant. When Eddie beats the hell out of the gas guy I lost it. It isn't often violence is funny but this show is so odd it works. I don't remember the episode but when they are stuck on the ferris wheel and Ritchie starts talking nostalgia with an American twang and Eddie says I got one question then beats the hell out of him almost made me faint, I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. I will miss these guys.
