Spoiler Free: This was a really good episode. I watched YouTube clips of Les Dennis and read his Wikipedia page as well in preparation for this episode. I was concerned some of the jokes would go over my head again like episode 2 lol.

This episode really made you marinate in the uncomfortable silent moments. The scene with Les drying off in front of Ricky was hilarious and uncomfortable. It reminds me of any time you are in a locker room with an old dude. They do not care, they will scratch their balls, butt ass naked in front of you while trying to hold a conversation lol. On a random note, I really like Andy and Maggie's friendship, their banter and goofy conversations make it feels genuine.

I know you may think that doing some light research before that episode wasn't necessary, but you're coming at it from the perspective that you now know who Les Dennis is. Whether the jokes were specific to certain episodes that you watched wouldn't matter as if you hadn't watched anything you would have spent the whole episode wishing you had, and wondering whether you would have found the whole thing hilarious if you had. if you had gone into it not knowing who he was, a lot of the jokes would have fallen flat, you just didn't notice how many of them there would have been because you did the research and that information was available to your brain.

He knew Karl before this and even uses the same kinda weird question stuff he has asked Karl, like would he rather have hands for feet or feet or for hands. Something daft like that. Karl makes an appearance in the special , which is essentially the last episode, as an extra. He made a 11 minute video of his day on set to, well worth a watch when you've watched the series and special

I don’t think you’ll need to do the research for the next episodes, out of the 8 left not including the Christmas specials maybe Chris Martin the lead singer of Coldplay is the only one you won’t know.
