2024-10-04 03:41:20 +0000 UTCTo add on to Rin's comment (sorry to get extra technical about this, I watched SB relatively recently), even though Lucy met and were formed through the show, it wasn't exactly that the producers/judges put the band together from the beginning or anything. It's a bit hard to explain, but in the initial rounds, if I remember correctly, a leader amongst contestants was chosen by the show runners and when their name was called they selected their members based on availability, so the formations were constantly changing, but in the round that Lucy actually formed (minus vocalist Sangyeop), there were no leaders and the remaining contestants formed groups somewhat organically amongst themselves. So Lucy members chose to work with each other for the remainder of the show.

2024-10-04 03:28:57 +0000 UTCI'm late to this, but you mostly got it right about how they formed! The original Superband vocalist decided to go back to his original band Gift instead of continuing as Lucy, so they brought in Sangyeop who was also in SB (eliminated in the first round 😭)

I didn't really love their first few albums, but their recent releases are really really good, especially since the Insert Coin album. They slowly become my second favorite band after DAY6. Complex is also my current SOTY :)
