Like, it was bad already, but I was under the impression that he was willingly sacrificing himself along with Red for the good of the pack. This is just low. There's no way Swift will forgive him for this.

I wonder if he’s apart ofthat new group of animals that now have a lowered survival chance to the new way of life that’s emerging as Quanaq stated in one of Rask’s dreams, or the author plans to create a parallel between the two fathers and the circumstances lead to Gristle being saved unlike Yarrow.
