WIP - PG 217
Added 2022-03-04 22:40:36 +0000 UTCHere's a WIP breakdown of a panel from an upcoming page! No spoilers, just Rask surprised about something!
I have a couple more step-by-steps of panel in the WIP tag (specifically this one from page 124 is a deep dive into a panel start-to-finish), but here you can see the steps between thumbnail, sketch, inks, flat colors then background, character shading/highlights, and coloring the line art!

(Oh-- and to add, I try to keep my pages around 5-6 panels per page. If it has more panels than that, or any large, extensive backgrounds, the page probably took me closer to 15 hours of work.)

2022-03-05 02:49:36 +0000 UTCQuick answer - the average page is about 10-12 hours of solid, focused work, start to finish. Longer answer-- it really depends on the page itself, how many panels it has, etc. A more accurate metric is how long a panel takes-- a simple panel with just a single character and limited background takes an hour or two, depending on how focused I am and if that day is a drawing struggle-fest. A panel with a large background takes 4-8 hours, and the time adds up for each character/object in the panel-- each is another thing to ink, flat color and shade.
