ATEEZ did say that this stage is a prequel to their Wonderland stage so you were correct. Also, this performance was based on a show on Netflix called Money Heist which is a Spanish show, so that is where the mariachi comes into play in the performance.

All of the performances' stories were linked; theories are they stole the hourglass to turn back time/travel to another dimension bc the future that they live in (as seen in Rythm Ta) is a dystopian place where music and art are banned(inspired by the Netflix series Money Heist/La Casa de Papel). They stage a rebellion then go back in time where ATEEZ are pirates which is kinda like going back to their roots (i guess????).
