[Infinity] Weapon - Contradent

It is always unclear how many prongs protrude from this trident-like weapon. Newly promoted Chronoi Sentinels are often tasked with obtaining an anomalous weapon like this one, designed to grow in power as their rank increases. Those who wield this trident can effectively maintain distance from the deadlier temporal scavengers.

Weapon (trident), uncommon (requires attunement)

This magic weapon partially breaches into higher dimensions. Whenever you hit a creature with this weapon, you deal a bonus 1d4 force damage to it. This bonus increases to 1d8 if the target is an aberration or an extratemporal being.

Dimensional Upgrade. If this weapon is refined at a Dimensional Forge, its rarity increases by 1 tier and it gains one of the following properties of your choice, provided their requirements are met. The weapon can only have up to three of the following properties at one time, and the GM decides whether you can replace one property with another through reforging. You cannot choose the same property more than once unless otherwise indicated.

Hyperspear (Requires proficiency with Arcana). The weapon has 3 charges and regains 1d3 expended charges at dawn. As an action, you can expend a charge and throw this trident in a straight line out to 60 feet. Make one Thrown ranged attack roll against each target in this line. If you hit a target this way, you roll three times as many damage dice for the bonus force damage you deal.

Multiplanar Prongs. The weapon gains a +1 bonus to its attack and damage rolls. This property can be gained multiple times, which cumulatively increases this bonus by 1. Selecting this property again still counts towards the limit.

Superpositional (Requires Intelligence of 13 or higher). The weapon is simultaneously thrown and not thrown. When you make a thrown attack with this weapon, it reappears in your hand immediately after it hits or misses.
