this might be my favorite of s1– mostly because everyone cries and anthony gives the best fucking free therapy. relistening to everything (and all of talking dads) is just absolute perfection for me

julipop

45:50 is podcast perfection

Daniel Roberts

"It's not something you can solve just by loving him a lot." Oof.

Claire Wilson

such a good episode. loved hearing literally everyone crying lol

Does anyone see autumn as a giant woman? Or is that just me

Cain Morgan

Anthony Burch is just playing therapist this episode and we are all crying 😭

welcometojen

Dammit Daryl... <3

Rachel MacArthur

Fun fact, my (Catholic) high school mascot was a Crusader. And when we questioned it and tried to get it changed the principal said it was one of the “good” crusaders who just wanted to spread the word of Christ.

Lilyannifer

Will making me cry again

Serenity4Jane

Can YOU GUYS stop making me cry please... thank you

Koral

What happened to canary? Why can't she make the mud bodies for them again?

Awkward Kat

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UFmwArST-I Won't you go Waltzing, Matilda, with me?

Teckla Holmes

Y'all, I'm just trying to do my job as I'm walking around sobbing. This was a good one, well done to all y'all for the emotional honesty, this was wonderful, but also much cry

Zuzanna Bator

Sorry for such a long comment, I didn’t realize it was this long till i typed it

Tinyhumanbrain76

OOP- look at the time, it’s time to cry over a fiction o’clock!! 😩😭😭 no but seriously huge props to everyone in this episode for really diving into the mindset of the dads. This was seriously needed in terms of development even glen, glens last line killed me 😆 Everyone crying legit had me crying at work and the “you can’t solve everyone’s problems just by loving them” that entire extange was honestly like, i straight up balled by eyes out and it got me!

Tinyhumanbrain76

I straight up cried at my work….like, matt and Anthony….serious serious props

Tinyhumanbrain76

When you cry, I cry. I genuinely thank you for that. Anthony, you're a very good therapist.

Jenica

They need emotional to finish their character arcs, and many of us LOVE the emotional parts.

Jenica

We need a whole episode of Ron therapy session

Randy Wallick

Do less emotional more funny and cool

Guy Fernando

So if the Doodler brought the omega daddies and henry's grandmother from earth to the dnd whelm when they were at the brink of death, does that mean that the dads and the kids in the van almost died when the omega dads brought them through the portal? Like were they about to die, maybe in a car accident, then the OD's brought them through the portal? Or were they just summoned? Sorry if that got dark and conspiracy theory-like.

mindy wilson

Not beth but "slip of the tongue" adriel luis is a good one if youre looking for some recommendations

Harrison Lee

Gods everyone is so talented and brilliant! Thank you Matt, Will, Beth, Anthony and Freddie.

Grayson

Question for Beth for Talking Dad: Who are your favorite spoken word poets, and who would you recommend I listen to?

Kelly Kratzer

I'm so sad that our time with these dad's is coming to a close. But that's because I love them all so much, they all put so much into these characters and the story.

Amber Fostervold

That Dare-Bear nickname knocked me TF out, good lord.

Tabitha McDonald

Anthony is such an amazing DM almost cried this episode and the players are amazing!

Chelsey

Every single time that William Campos cries so do I 😩

johanna.elise

The fact that they are all writers in some sort of capacity really helps.

Allison Davis

Ok so I know for the story frank has to go again... But I hope they find a way to save paeden... Some kind of fate/apocrypha ending. This was such a sweet and heart tugging episode

Locke Cole

Such a great story you’re all telling. Nothing but respect and kudos for you all!

Terran Benedict

I can’t tell you how LIVID I am that Grant has not referred to Paedon/Frank as GRAND-PAEDON.

Roisin Dubh

Good lord! What a banger of an episode! Seriously great job on this! Such excellent jokes and still so many heartfelt moments too.

Daniel Green

Can someone give Will a hug.

Ryan Flueger

Thank you Anthony *clap clap, clap clap clap*

Zombie Milhouse

That line from will absolutely broke me. This whole episode was absolutely heartbreaking but in potentially the most beautiful way possible. I'm normally just a lurker that enjoys the content and never leaves a comment or submitted anything in almost 2 years, but I had to give love to everyone for this!

That was a fuckin solid one-liner from Glenn to finish it on. That'q what I'm saying next time I've had sex

Hampus Siöland

Just got off a 9hr bar shift. Thought I'd wind down with some Daddies, now I'm ugly crying on my couch. Beautiful episode y'all!

Mitch Lind

I am amazed at how wonderful this podcast became. I still remember the first time hearing the very first episode two weeks after the release and the journey along the way has been so good I love this dumb podcast you guys are just amazing

Imo Flores

Soo amazing! I had to listen twice back to back. How much did you have pause for the dad's to recover between segments? I cant imagine there was a dry eye in the room.

Gregg Simms

It really feels like these guys are pulling from past experience when they do these emotional bits. They're really good voice actors and it stops me in my tracks way more than a comedy (not bdsm) podcast should.

Matthew Forrest

You guys are so hilarious holy shit! I almost pissed myself laughing at the end there lmao

I use to think Freddie Wong’s laugh was fake.

Baba

The groups laughs more during these live sessions, it’s good that they were able to do these last few episodes of the season in person. In 2nd edition, D&D had a magical flying Hippo called a Potagriffmus, which I assume is what HIPPA is in this universe. I believe they’re batch recording these now so nothing mechanically we say here matters, but Gate requires a diamond worth 5,000 GP to cast which if Anthony wanted to, could screw our heroes.

J.S.

Such a good wholesome episode!!! We love emotional openness and authenticity!!

Kiera Conrad

I got some bad family news today and spent ten minutes sitting in my car sobbing after this episode. Absolutely amazing work, I still don't know how a comedy podcast makes me tear up so hard through the sheer force of acting. And today I really needed to cry, so thank you guys.

Kae Winters

Seasons 2, Dungeons and Daddies, not a BDSM podcast but a Christian Dad’s podcast where fathers gather round and talk about the best father ever, our father in heaven.

Andrew Duck

I wished I had this kind of emotional openness and understanding when I was growing up. Good GOD hearing MATT CRY I WAS LIKE “OH NO TEDDY BEAR DARYLL NOOOOOOOOOO”

Bumblebee_Minipainting

Is Anthony a licensed therapist yet

Judith

Darrel should absolutely get a level in bard for his year with the bartender

This has been a whole roller coaster of emotion this episode, well done dads!

sam mathews

Man, so much character growth and development in this one. I was listening to it at work, and I almost cried two or three times.

maxwell mock

Ron has been crying a lot lately, I'm glad this time they were tears of joy!

Evelyn

What level are the dads now??

Blake wilson

This episode is literally therapy for everyone, listeners as well :)

Patrick Nan

It takes two wipes to know you need three but three wipes to know you only needed two

Chris Bean

This is just one of the best episodes. I love it <3

JustBlume

I lost it in the initial Ron therapy exchange. Beth wins this episode.

Noah Jay

I hope the daddies appreciate Anthony. He gave them all gifts in the previous talking dads. And then he gave them all 1:1 therapy sessions

Marie

How do you guys make something so poignant , whilst still using a paydon voice? , it’s obvious more awards are coming .

The half drunk bearded halfling who thinks he’s a dwarf

wow matt fucking killed it this episode. i've come close before but this is the first time i've ever cried at this podcast.

Cammyboi

Yes!!! Hundo-percent

Magna Ma'am

Why are the calling him Peyton-Frank and not Franken-Peyton?!

Jason

I love the fact that everyone gets emotional and serious, but Glen just fucks!!! Glen Close forever!!

Eli Broide

Beth may, you are a gift. Drink your own beer had me crying tears of laughter

Levi Hooper

That intro is so funny.

StephBox
