This was fun! I'm truly enjoying the idea that this a fun kids' show - that also can appeal to adults - without forgetting its a kids' show!

2024-08-28 11:24:07 +0000 UTCIt's funny how the dub and sub for Sam Speed makes him seem so diferent. In the sub, he sounds cool, if a bit full of himself. The dub makes him sound also cocky, but more like he's trying to act like he's hot stuff, rather than than actual confident.

My brothers had Sonic 2 on Megadrive(European Genesis), so I played that, but X got me more into it. It's also one of the best video game anime adaptations. Also, good timing doing the reaction given a full trailer for Sonic 3 just dropped.

2024-08-27 23:38:06 +0000 UTCoh this is nostalgic, Sonic is a fun series, you should enjoy it, the franchise takes a lot of inspiration from Dragon Ball, with a lot of characters being direct parallels. The games themselves... are hit or miss, Sonic goes from having some really classic games, Rush, Adventure, Frontiers, to having some of the worst games out there, Forces... Boom.... 06... The dub for this anime was actually done by 4kids, not that you should hold that against it lol (not that it's the dub you're watching), a lot of the dub actors became THE sonic voices for a lot of the games as well after this because of how well they did.

Produced by TMS Entertainment under partnership with Sega and Sonic Team. It's one of those shows where people feel it's not spectacular on its own. But I say it's a gem for anyone that's a Sonic fan. The show lasted for 3 seasons, 8 Sagas, and a total of 78 different episodes. So, we definitely have a long one here. I'd say it became better with each season

I'm a huge Sonic fan, so I might try to point out references to the games for you. Sonic's va here is the same one for the games in Japan, which is super cool. There are some deeper arcs, especially when they start adapting a few of the games in season 2 and the amazing season 3. I hope we get through this.
