Even Muzan was shocked at it happening, and it's possible he might have been more cautious of approaching Ubuyashiki if he had sent his family away.

He went out like a boss, dying anyway so why not try to take out MJ? And his wife is a real one standing by his side. It’s just a sticking point to me.

He was a sick dying man that had no fear when facing the king of demons himself. If there is one thing his death caused is that all the Hashira will indeed unite to defeat/kill their beloved master. You saw it in their face when they were running lad, the pure desperation and worry to get to him in time. They are all going to be pissed
