Hey there!
I've started a personal project for trying to apply for an exhibition in my home town.
Since it's been a long time that I wanted to do some art about the mythology of my region, I decided to paint a Xana.
Xanas are very beautiful female creatures believed to live in rivers and forested regions with pure water. They are slender, wight blond or light brown hair and they attract men with their hypnotic voices during spring and summer nights.
They're like river mermaids with legs and ALSO, they have children which are like changelings.
They're awesome, because it's like you mix two mythology stories into one. And to make it better, their name "Xana", is believed to be a derivation from the Latin name for the goddess Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt, the Moon, and nature.
SO! I'll be painting this and working on commissions for the next few days! Wish me luck!
