2023-11-11 01:34:48 +0000 UTCI feel like a lot of the fanbase misinterprets this but I really love how the Emperors aren’t just just world’s Top 4 Strongest Pirates. Makes it feel like Luffy actually earned the title and wasn’t just destined as the MC. Like yeah they tend to be some of the strongest monsters in the world, but it’s not a yearly arm wrestling contest. It’s the 4 pirates the people of the world (Aka BN Morgans) consider to be the most threatening; with huge swaths of manpower, territory, Devil Fruits, connections, etc. that then makes your crew’s bounties and rep go up. Kidd literally has none of that aside from a heavy metal punch.

The manga used exact same panelling as the cover 🤣 (Kinda how there was a pink dragon in color page of chapter 310 and Luffy wearing kimono that has Kozuki clan's crest in it... Feb.16, 2004)
