What mysterious things dwell in the forgotten corners of your world?

The last world-building/question posts got some fun responses, and I really enjoyed everyone's creativity and willingness to share. I figured I'd pose a new question: What mysterious things dwell in the forgotten corners of your world? Whether it's a hermit with a sordid past, an ancient beast that long lay dreaming on a distant planet, or a burial site from ruined city, what mysteries are out there waiting to be uncovered by the denizens of your fictional universe?

I know waiting for me to finish all these back-end features relating to security and permissions probably isn't the most exciting, but I really appreciate your patience and support during this time! Due to the changes I've made, the LK back-end, or server, now supports multiple worlds per user, multiple users per world, and a host of other fun things that I'll announce as I get closer to release.
