february update!

hello! it is now february, so i'd like to share what i'll be doing this month!
my plans for this month:
already done as per my last post but i made a dress up template for renpy! i'd love it if people tried it out for making simple dress up games π
prepping for Marron's Day switch release later this month on february 20!!! (look at the photo of the screenshot on the eshop on the switch!)
some background work for another port... π more on this when i can share!
i'm also thinking about if i can make a game for this... it seems to be a showcase rather than a jam so there's no requirement to make it during the period itself, but i like the idea of having a game showcase on itch rather than steam & i'd like to see how it goes!!
continue updating my games on itch to support linux/the itch launcher better! i've gone through all of my free games so now all that is left are the paid ones - since i need to play through all the games again to make sure that when updating the game version has no issues occur it's taking me a while! i only have five games left to do though...!
still updating my site so i can move it from carrd to neocities...! (kind of related but i also posted about my experience on jamming for global game jam on my other site hosted on neocities )

also, this is not for my own game but for somebody else's - i'm working with alex taylor to add story to Witching Stone! it's a lovely puzzle roguelike game where you use stones to cast spells. check it out on itch & steam!
i don't want to start up on any big new game yet though - not until i'm done dealing with the current port i'm working on at least! for last year my main big game was marron & i'm still seeing how the switch port will go, so i'll be working on more jam games for now & see how things are after marron is released π₯

2025-02-09 16:39:35 +0000 UTCno, thank goodness! from what i understand it should run on switch 2 with no issues in its switch (1?) state as it just uses the regular controllers and doesn't need anything special to run. i would like to get ahold of a switch 2 when it comes out to test properly just in case though.
