some wip screenshots of dialogue boxes

i'm still working on the summer slow jams game (having some trouble with where i want to take it though). here are some screenshots of what i did for the dialogue boxes! (the first two are gifs so they SHOULD be animated.)

screenshot 1 is how it looks now - variable sized windows, with dialogue boxes on left/right depending on who's talking. there's also a little animation for the dialogue windows when they appear, and the characters bob when they first start speaking.

screenshot 2 is after i finally figured out how to make the window size change depending on the amount of text! the size can be infinitely big but it gets a bit silly when the text is too long.

screenshot 3 is me testing if i wanted to have ruby text for the rival witch's spells or no. i decided to use symbols for spells to make it seem more magical but at first i was considering having text on top too so people could 'read' what the spells were... i ended up getting rid of this idea.
