Gobbo Project Preview: Kate

Yup, still no proper name. Got a few ideas but I think they need some development. Committing to a name right now seems impossible, maybe once it’s close to it’s first release I’ll feel confident enough in one?

For now, I’m going to start giving you all some peeks at what I’m working on. Starting with this first character, Kate, as you’ve already seen her in the initial reveal.  I’ve put together a couple new promo renders.

I hope you noticed the fangs in the initial reveal. Kate is one of the first vampires, and characters, you’ll meet in the game. There to play a part in your own entrance into that dark flock of fiends.

Kate will also be a potential romantic interest. Though she’ll be a tough nut to crack in that department. She got some...issues that you’ll need to help her solve before becoming properly available.

If I was to compare her character to that of one in L&V, I’d say she’s closest to Lydia. Kate has a fiery temper, and an attitude that makes her hard to get along with. But if you can break through that shell, there will be few others you can count on more. Despite a tidy age of 80 odd years, she has a preference for the modern problem solving implements.

It would probably be better described as an “obsession”. Sure to make for a useful ally. Maybe even a tutor if you decide to build your character in a similar fashion?

So I could probably talk endlessly about this one, but I’d rather do that through the medium of the game itself. Progress on which is proceeding quite nicely. I’ve struck a nice balance between working on the two projects. Most recently, in a single week I’ve put together a whole set of content for a character closer to home. Who might well be the subject of the next preview.

So I hope you enjoyed this little teaser. I have plenty more characters to show off, both male and female. Ideally you’ll get to see all of them before the initial release, but I can’t say for sure yet how many there will even be at that point. It all depends on time and the scope of the content.

No timetable for the next sneak peek, but it hopefully won’t be too long. Thank you all for the support, it’s what’s making this next project possible!
