Poll #1 Results and Thoughts

This post is dedicated to going over the results of the first Patron poll. Which was done to gauge interest in various character types, so I can prioritize future development. Thanks again to everyone who participated!

I’ll go over each set individually at first then combine the results. Just as a general peek into the future, there is already another character planned to be introduced in Release 4, and an office job based character who will be coming some time after. Both of these aren’t included in the poll since I already had them planned, so you likely won’t see any of the characters in this poll until after those two are in game at least.

High Tier Results

I’ll start with the high tier patron exclusive poll, with their voting weights applied to the raw votes (the raw, unweighted votes are below). Not a huge amount changes between the two, Jen’s sister being the obvious runaway winner.

I’ve already referenced her in game quite a bit, and had figured on her being a new addition after the two I already mentioned. So it’s nice to see we’re apparently on the same page. This is also the most popular choice on the supporter poll, but more on that later.

Interesting to see Bimbo, Thicc/muscular and redhead pulling up behind. I say this as they are sort of more like personality and physical traits, not necessarily character exclusive, so I could consider working these into another character, or building one entirely around that theme. Either way, I’ll keep it in mind.

Aside from those, the next result that is a character in of itself is the ex-roommate. I already wanted to do this one, but had figured it would likely be a long way off. The poll result kind of just confirms that, but I can safely say their inclusion is extremely likely eventually.

Supporter Results

Now the obvious winner in the supporter results mirrors the high tier. And the interest in bimbo continues.

There’s a surge in interest for a redhead. I do already have a model in mind that has dyed red hair sometimes, though I imagine most interest is in more of a natural? I could be wrong, regardless I have already looked into it, and naturals are not all that common. So I’m not sure If I could make it happen. We might have to make do with some dyed red, but I’ll talk about this a bit more in the conclusion.

There’s also a small surge in the interest for a trans character. In the overall results it’s still pretty small, which is very useful info for me. Finding a model for this is very difficult, but seeing the results, I’d have to say this would probably be best done as a small/side character. I was thinking it could be covered in the club, just to provide a small amount of this content for those interested.

Final Results And Conclusion

And with all the results put together, the pattern continues. So we can deduce a sort of priority here:

1. Jen’s sister
2. Bimbo
3. Redhead
4. Ex-roomate
5. Thicc/muscular

2 + 3 + 5 are things that can worked into characters or used for an entire theme. Looking at the results, my first thought was people wanted to see Jen’s sister be a bimbo or redhead. But looking at how individual people actually voted, there doesn't seem to be a strong correlation. That leaves me adjusting my thinking to these being desired as full on characters. If you have thoughts about this yourself, please don’t hesitate to share them.

The most important thing I’d say, is the interest. We may have to compromise with including these things as part of another character. But I’ll do my best to fulfil this interest.

I already have a model in mind for Jen’s sister. She might scratch that redhead itch (same as I mentioned earlier) every once in a while, but I’ll keep an eye out and my options open.

Bimbo wise I already found a model that had some promise. I’ve not dived into it deeply though. There is of course the question with a character like that of transformation. I’ll have to look into the options and decide if the character would already be in that state or something you can manipulate.

Honourable mention to Thicc/muscular. This isn’t easy to find, at least in a nice middle ground between skinny and roided to fuck. But this will likely make an appearance in one of the planned characters, at least to some degree.

And then of course there's the roommate that’ll come eventually. By then we’ll have a better idea what’s in and isn’t, and use that to decide if there’s anything missing that would fit into that character.

So in closing, this doesn't alter my plans a great deal. But It does provide some nice pointers towards character traits/types that I’ll do my best to fulfil. It’ll certainly influence model choices going forward. Nothing is set in stone of course, and I might redo this kind of poll in the future once more characters are added, just to see if the priorities shift, or if the currently less popular options become more appealing.

This is my first time doing this kind of thing, so If I screwed something up or forgot to mention something I apologize. I’m more than happy to continue this as a discussion if anyone has input. More polls to come eventually, and hopefully the wait for Jen’s sister won’t be too long ;)
