To be honest Sam has perfect cooking skills xD (I think it's in his italian blood. Or just his perfect genetics, who knows xD) but in the canon story Achi is a terrible cook (she can only make pancakes and beignets) and she is totally okay living on only trash/fast food. So I can imagine mermaid Achi looking to the cooking Sam like
"Why do you this? In the sea we just grab them and eat them."
Now I have a new meaning about fast food. Like... You have the chase them and eat them. Ohh, my brain x"D
