Well it’s a direct sequel to the graphic novel not the movie…the movie changed the way Adrian killed everyone. Graphic novel a giant alien squid that Adrian created was the novel and in the movie he frames dr Manhattan I understood why they changed it at the time but I’m super happy the show kept the way New York got attacked cause it is horrific and it is very true to that source material
