GREAT review, Matt! That's super interesting to learn about the military side of things and what is (and what's not) realistic. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this 🤗💜

I saw this (movie) the other night before the reaction and will need to rewatch it to understand some of the plot points and characters. So likely I'll watch this full reaction in a few hours. I wanted to share some thoughts from my first viewing. Overall, I was entertained. I like how Kong learned sign language, could use hand tools and weapons, as well as having a degree of problem solving intelligence. Aside from his strength, I liked him having the speed and agility of an ape despite his size. Having not (yet) seen Kong: Skull island, I liked how there was enough exposition to where I could still understand his side of the story. Godzilla's story, I need to rewatch to see how Apex was able to manipulate him into attacking. I only understand they had a way to reproduce Ghidora's cry but not sure how they could use that to bait him into attacking Kong (whom Godzilla would know isn't Ghidora) -- Mechagodzilla, this was probably the best version I've seen yet in terms of how much of a threat to both Godzilla and Kong he was. As far the actors, I only recognized 2 as maybe I'm just not watching enough movies. I recognized Alexander Skarsgård from Battleship (2012) and Bernie's actor from the recent Joker movie. Whomever played the young deaf/mute child did a fantastic job. The only 0.02 nitpicks I have are with the Navy warships and fighter planes, as they were depicted in this movie. Despite being a veteran, I have no problem with the military ultimately being no match for the Kaiju and even getting wiped out. My only issue is with the suicidal tactics that make no sense. Two things. -- Firstly, the fighter jets. There is no need for them to fly so close to either monster. Getting swatted out of the sky would be the least of the pilots' worries when flying that fast below their hard deck of 10,000'. Even if both monsters were defenseless and standing still, the aircraft would have been easily lost in the blast from their own missiles...which air to ground Mavericks for example have a 'fire and forget' range of 12 miles. Secondly, the U.S Navy fleet. -- How to put this....I think many movie producers don't really know what modern day destroyers and cruisers are truly capable of. Visually, they might 'appear' defenseless compared to a battleship. However, just one Arleigh Burke class destroyer could destroy 64 battleships from 1,000 miles away. Not just due to the destructive power of anti-ship Harpoon and Tomahawk missiles, but the ability to precision guide them into the part of the ship that would do the most damage. -- 7.5/10 stars, it was entertaining, and as crazy as the Hong Kong fight was, it was very true the classic Godzilla movies where cities getting leveled is...just what happens. lol

Thank you, Ricardo 😊💜. It was difficult for me to watch at times because I knew Gozilla wasn't an evil monster/being. Neither Kong OR Gozilla are evil. I knew in my gut that a human was behind all of this and that someone had provoked/triggered Godzilla. Because in the last movie, Godzilla protected the people. That's why towards the end of my reaction, I say all of this - that I knew it wasn't Godzilla's fault. Someone provoked him on purpose. I love both Gozilla and Kong. Humans on the other hand - not so much....in this movie at least. Not all of them anyway. Thank you for leaving a comment here 😊💜

Ahahahahaha!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 I so loved this movie, Patrick! I would have loved seeing it on a big screen though 👍🏻💯

😂😂😂😂😂 Thank you, Matt. I am rather ridiculous 😂😂😂😂😂

Oh that must have been AMAZING to see this in a theater!! I LOVED this movie so much!!! 💯💯💯

You have a beautiful heart, Kazzy. Those scenes where Kong and Godzilla were fighting and hurting each other were painful to watch for you and one could tell. You had tears in your eyes throughout the whole film. But I'm glad you made it through the movie! Kong finally found a home in the hollow earth but he's alone and that's sad. Godzilla and Kong made peace though and quite literally "buried the hatchet". That's good. Overall, I liked the film and it was very entertaining, and I think I liked following the little girl and Kong's arc the most. In the end, though, it was Apex's fault for building that machine that echoed the Gidora/Monster Zero cry and confused Godzilla, which is why he attacked.

My high school mascot name was the Arsenal Tech Titans, haha. This was fun! Would have been cool to see on a big screen, but in-home movie watching is comfy though. With so many titan attacks in these movie series, what do you think insurance rates are like? 😂 Thanks for the reaction, Kazzy! It's always fun to watch with you!

"I can't watch this!", "I hate this movie!", "I really loved this movie." LOL. Loved your reactions. Thank you!

Saw in cinémas with a my long time best friend Sunday evening, and it was incredible on big screen ! Fun to rewatch at home with your reactions the next day ( and around same hour, lol ) You were so invested during the last 35-40 minutes, it was nuts !!! Probably my best ever monster movie !
