Compressors can be a confusing beast. And there aren't many videos out there on how to use them properly. I learnt what I know about them from books! It was a long process. BUT in this video we break the process of dialing them in, down to a few easy steps. We cover how to apply compression to basic loops, a little vocal processing, and a layered snare. It's all about that GLUE baby.
In the beginning you might not be able to hear much of a what a compressor is doing, but the more your practice with them, the easier it will be to hear what's happening and the better you will be at applying them properly and getting that smooth buttery vocal or snappy drum sample you've been looking to make.
