"Reef" Painting Progress

I am currently hard at work on the pieces I will be contributing to the WOWxWOW "Fiends of the Dark" Exhibition in April, for which the deadline is the 25th of March, and I am a little over halfway through with the first piece, "Reef".
Here are some progress shots!
Apologies for the dodgy quality of some, I am still trying to wrestle control of my iPad and iPhone. XD
I am loving painting this one, I am a big fan of gnarly textures, and have been having a lot of fun using my acrylics like watercolours, to create layered textures and effects.
I will be adding some small white flowers, maybe some butterflies, and some more detail I haven't quite decided on yet.
I love how the face started off looking quite dark against the white paper, only to become the lightest part of the piece once I added the dark background, which is exactly what I was hoping for.
I am not going too experimental with the background here, haha, as I need to get these pieces done quite quickly, so staying in my comfort zone is probably the best move here.
I am gathering pics and info to create a process PDF of this piece once finished, and I also have a bunch of footage from the painting process that should make for a nice video.
