"Lace Heart" + "Tears" WIP + Shoot Photos

Hi peeps, 

Here's a little compilation post of a few things that happened the last few days!

You may have seen my Youtube video last Saturday, that featured the painting below.
I attempted this concept initially as a Valentine to all of you, but didn't manage to finish it in time, so...Happy belated Valentine's day! :)
My bf and I don't really celebrate Valentine, we give each other gifts a lot anyway, but I still wanted to say thank you to all of you for your continued support and general loveliness.

I did this little piece to relax, and simply to enjoy the process of painting. I find intricate detail to be very cathartic when I'm art blocked or going through a creative rut, because it's a fun way to feel like you've done a lot of work and get a cool result, without having to think too hard. I don't like the background, so I might have to work on it a bit more, but, ultimately, this piece was very enjoyable to put together, and made me feel somewhat better.

I think it could also make for a cool sticker, what do you think? Would you like the design to become a sticker in the near future? Let me know. :)

I also started another painting about a week ago, but it hasn't been going well, although I do like the concept, so I will hopefully revisit it at some point (I know, I know, I say that a lot...).

It was initially for the Month of Love challenge "Tears" theme, but I haven't finished it yet, and the deadline has passed. To be honest, I've decided to not attempt the Month of Love challenge in the end this month, it was putting too much pressure on me, and with this poster commission dragging its feet and weighing me down, I'm finding it hard enough fitting in painting time as it is. So I am just going to go with the flow and paint the things I want to paint, and if they fit the challenge themes, great, if not, nevermind. 

And finally, here are some stills from a video a friend is making about me.

Those of you who have been supporting me for a while might remember this, but here's the TL;DR : a friend videographer of mine got in touch a few months back asking if I'd be interested in him doing a short video feature about me and my work. He's a great cameraman, and is basically trying to expand his portfolio, and thought my work would be interesting to film. We shot a lot of it back in June 2018, but he felt he was missing a few things to complete it, so we shot a bit more content yesterday, and he sent me a few pictures.
