July Process PDF : "Yours is the heart of a star"

IT'S DONE!

IT'S FINISHED!

AAAAHH. I'm tired now. hahaha XD

This bad boy took me a good 3 days to put together, but it is finally wrapped up.

As always, you can click on the orange link at the end of this post to download the full PDF.

I hope you guys will enjoy it!
Apologies for any typos, I'll be honest, my ability to proof-read myself became severely impaired but the end, so it's likely I might start sounding a bit psychedelic towards the last pages, hahaha.

But I am so happy to finally have this out for you all!
I HATE being late with anything, and being able to tick this off my list is a massive weight off my chest.

Thank you so much for your patience and general loveliness.
I hope this PDF was worth the wait. :)

I will have a massive update post with tons of news and info soon, including Inktober related stuff, sale details, giveaway winners for September...etc....so look out for that in the next few days!

And now, onto the next painting and PDF!

I hope you'll like it! :)

Thanks Erin! I rarely print my images, partly because the colours never really come out the same and I don't have the time to fix them, and partly because there is no need, I just look at them on my screen. :) Plus, I always have so many, my walls would be plastered, haha!

Thanks Lovely, I'm glad you think so!

Thank you so much Geetha, I'm really glad you think so! these PDFs are a great way for me to reflect on my work, and I put a lot of time into them, so knowing that they are a good read to you guys too is really awesome :)

Okay 😊 Thanks Myriam! 😊

Thanks Timo! I would definitely like to make a book out of those in the future, I think they could make a cool little coffee table volume, if anyone would be interested in such a thing! I'm so glad you find those interesting, they are very interesting for me to make also, they allow me to reflect on my own process and progress in a way I didn't expect. In response to your questions, I use different brands of gouache because I either wanted to try to them out, or because they were the brands available in whatever shop I was in at the time. There is no specific reason fro me using a brand over another, I just use what I have. I have heard that Linel was a bit more translucent than WN, but I haven't used enough Linels to confirm that. A lot of the tubes I have were gifted to me too, or handed down, so I didn't get to choose them. I like them all pretty much the same.

Yes Myriam, this was a hard piece of work for sure! I am impressed one time more from your ability to recall and reflect your own work. I know, I repeat myself, but it's a not ordinary ability, that I miss ...ah...nearly everywhere! It's such a gift that you share your thoughts, your experiences and the essences you win by watching your own way of creating! Thank you so much for this! Everytime when I look on your process pdf I see the "bookish"- style and think about it, that I really have had such a look into the creative process of an artist when I started to deal with art, gosh, that would have been helpful!!! Including all the troubles and doubts and the possible ways to deal with them. However, you brought your own process in a wonderful form (again) and who knows ? Maybe some time in the future it will save a lot of time, cause you have done the work already...(when it comes to a book or whatever). I enjoy to read your notes and learn a lot about making art and the patience that will pay off in the later creating process. Thank you once more and have a nice sunday evening :) You're the best! Ah, before I forget: Did I mention, that I love your paintings? :D AND: Congrats to your new easel! It's fine isn't it? And then a question: You use (not in this painting) W&N Guache AND Linel. What is the cause? Where is the advantage? (I've used only linel so far)

This is just mind-blowing. So much detail! It really adds an extra layer to the painting, seeing the steps you took and the effort that went into it. Although the painting was already amazing to begin with :)

Ah-mazing! You are so thorough! Loved reading your process. When you create your mood boards for a piece do you print off pictures or just keep digital pics to peruse?

Looking forward to reading this when I get home 😁 thank you
