Thank you, darling-! I'd say my Japanese was conversational++; lots of IPA training and exposure, and a couple of years of study, but not Quite enough to be idiom and metaphor-savvy. But I do pretty well when working on jobs with {redacted animation studio, lol}, and anything I can't personally translate, I've got a contractor on deck I hire to give me it romanized, and I can take it from there.
