This is why you trade for Juan Soto. You trade for him so he can go win you a damn pennant. The New York Yankees are going to the World Series because Giancarlo Stanton again – again! – hit a clutch home run to tie Game 5 against the Guardians, and then the generational Soto clubbed the pennant-winning three-run homer in the top of the tenth. What a talent. What an at-bat.
“I was all over him," Soto said during an on-field interview with TBS after the game. "That was the only thing I was thinking. I was just saying to myself, ‘You’re all over that guy. You’re all over that guy. He ain’t got anything.’ Just had to make good contact, and I did."
I am gonna be busy with CBS stuff the rest of the night because, you know, the Yankees are going to the World Series. I'll have more on Game 5 sometime Sunday and then much more on the upcoming World Series next week. It's be Yankees vs. Dodgers or Mets. That is the good shit.

What an incredible 3 games in Cleveland, blew me away their resilience in the late innings and winning 2 gut check games after the heartbreaker in game 3. What a cathartic way to win the pennant after 7 years in the Judge era coming up short against the Astros and division rivals Go Yanks!!!

Bullpen is exhausted; these guys now have five days without pitching in games. Immense good thing for us. Rotation can set up exactly like we want it. Friday can't get here soon enough but for the team I'm really glad for this break.
