Trying out another painting timelapse and this time I decided to have the 30 second version in the beginning and then add the full timelapse after that. That way more people can see the whole process in the first 30 seconds. I also felt it was important to add a faint watermark, since this video is only unlisted on Youtube and anyone with the link can see it. I'll probably edit the other video like this too.
I will be honest about this one thing: I do notice my performance anxiety spike up a bit the moment I'm aware that the timelapse is recording. Because of this, I realise that I don't allow myself to experiment that much in the canvas and I'm much more hesitant to make mistakes. I want to trust that the more timelapses I record, the less this anxiety takes over me 🤞
These speedpaints will still be occasional and I have to limit them to SFW art, of course... but it's also fun to rewatch these videos to understand the methods I used. Believe it or not, a lot of things are trial and error, and I do forget certain things I did later on 😅
